Our team is highly motivated and in need of Software Development Engineer who can take the technical reigns of the team and steer them in the direction of our vision. As a Software Development Engineer, you will lead the design and development of high-scale web services and workflows that impact our payment processing capabilities. Position Responsibilities:
• Work closely with senior engineers to design, implement and deploy applications that impact our business with an emphasis on Payments across our retail and digital business.
• Own the delivery of an integral piece of a system or application.
• Instill best practices for software development and documentation, assure designs meet requirements, and deliver high-quality work on tight schedules.
• Mentor junior engineers.
• Be a strong proponent of Operational Excellence
The ideal candidate will be a leader, quick learner and be able to work independently. He/she should be able to operate in a very fast paced environment where time to hit market is super critical. The candidate will need to balance technical leadership and savvy with strong business judgment to make the right decisions about technology choice.,
• 2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 1+ years of experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems.
• Programming experience with at least one software programming language.
• Bachelors degree in Engineering or equivalent
• 5+ years development experience in any Object Oriented language such as C, C++, Java, C#
• Familiarity with architecting in an distributed computing environments
• Proven track record of delivering projects on time
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Master s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical discipline
• 2+ years of experience designing and implementing RESTful web services
• Experience in eCommerce.
• Deep hands-on technical expertise
• Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Experience working with service oriented architectures and web based solutions.
