Job Description

Why this role KONE India is embarking upon an exciting growth phase and this represents an opportunity for you to join our Chennai KONE India, as a Configuration owner, Specialty Workstations. The purpose of the position is to design, maintain and/or analyze KONE information systems that are appropriate for users and business needs. These systems should be consistent with the overall design of the organisations information systems architecture. Owns the Solution configuration within his/her area of responsibility. Majority of Kone workstations are Windows. This role is accountable to tailor the services and solutions to other operating systems, such as Linux and Apple Mac workstations.What will you be doing

  • Works with the key stakeholders for these workstations to ensure that user needs/requirements are met while securing and standardizing the offering.
  • Also works with Kone supply chain operations to ensure that manufacturing floor devices are up-to-date and secure, or segregated in services.
  • Accountable for technical designs and implementation prior to build or changes in production.
  • Controls that all changes are recorded, and that change management process is followed
  • Defines together with Solution design owners and Platform Owners the optimal configuration with maximal utilization of out-of-the-box functionality (vs KONE-specific customization).
  • Supports and gives guidance to external parties in implementing technical configurations.
  • Implements and/or guides external resources in technical configuration
  • Responsible of license compliance towards KONE IT suppliers
  • Responsible of ensuring documentation is up-to-date and reflects implementation
  • Provides 3rd tier support
Are you the one
  • 8 15 years of relevant experience.
  • Excellent knowledge and hands-on experience for Corporate Linux workstation management in enterprises using Microsoft environments (AD, Azure AD, MECM, M365)
  • Excellent knowledge and hands-on experience for Corporate Mac workstation management in enterprises using Microsoft environments (AD, Azure AD, MECM, M365)
  • Experience with external workstation management service providers and tooling
  • Understanding of network concepts, such as firewalls, wireless authentication (802.1x).
  • Understanding of Microsoft AD/Azure/M365 and conditional access policies
  • Understanding of ITIL practices
  • Fluent English language (Written and Spoken)
