Job Description

    The General Manager - India, reports to the Regional VP / GM CBO division in EMEA and sits on the Regional Leadership team. With a rich heritage in India, Eatons infrastructure includes people located in key strategic locations to engage with customers and partners, numerous manufacturing and technology centres including a CBO divisional site in Chennai.The role is responsible for delivering upon the growth opportunity we see in our key markets, which carries both a Indian domestic and international focus. Providing leadership inline with Eatons ethics & values and leadership model, the incumbent will lead the evolution of the organisation and its culture, leveraging the Eaton Business System (EBS) to drive profitability, simplification and efficiency.A focal area for this new role will be to unify the CBO India organisation under common leadership and set out an aligned strategy to realise the growth potential which India presents.Thinks & Acts StrategicallyLead the development and execution of the country growth strategy with a focus on the Indian Oil & Gas owners and operators, Industrial customers and coordinate project pursuit / specification across EPCs and end-users. Partner and network with key stakeholders to ensure alignment of strategic objectives, annual goals and resources across all functions. Must effectively manage global project coordination with other regions. Implement effective strategies to anticipate future customer/market requirements, aiding the development of product roadmaps, localisation programs and key investment priorities. Build and action the short and long-range plans to meet goals and objectives consistent with business annual budgets, operating and strategic plans.Gets ResultsDeliver the required P&L performance leading to revenue growth, market share, profitability and return on investment to achieve results aligned to the strategic plan. Execute key commercial tactics which deliver a strong specification position across all product lines and influences key decision makers in end users, EPCs, DCS and channel partners. Support the development of existing and new products and technologies to strengthen our position in the India market. Drive disciplined approach to projects and programs through integration of business tools including EBS (Eaton Business System), Value Selling, Six Sigma, Eaton Lean System and PROLaunch (Eaton s Product Launch process).Build Organisation CapabilityDevelop a strategically aligned organisation plan which accounts for key process, structure, reward, capability and people. Promote and instil a customer first culture that reflects Eaton s leadership attributes & values, including high performance, inclusion and diversity, continuous improvement and excellence in quality of work. Build organisational capability to resource and build the India organization to meet the future needs through identification of critical competencies, talent development and recruitment. Efficient - We value speed and simplicity.QualificationsBSC and MBA required 15 years + Previous general management experience in a global multinational manufacturing organisation with a matrix structure.Significant P&L experience - proven track record of delivering results through the economic cycle.Strong knowledge of the Indian EPC and NOC market to ensure the business is established successfully in the country.Integration or M&A experience - identification, due diligence .Has managed large groups of people and execution of processes with a cadence of review.Customer/commercial leadership experience to understand customers, competition, pricing and negotiation and have that translated into solution.Previous success in leading large scale change, turn around/restructuring a teamResilient, self-confident and composed under pressure and able to cope with ambiguity.Prioritisation and effectiveness in communicating priorities to build alignment.Effective critical decision making based on assessment of data and balancing risk.Agile and scabable leadership style.Broad and global perspective as well as strong India knowledge.Comfortable with constructive conflict and encourages open and candidate discussions.Network builder, knows how to leverage a matrix organisation and influence without authority in some instancesYes!
