Job Description

As a Data Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our data infrastructure, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.Responsibilities:
    1. Design, develop, and deploy data pipelines and ETL processes on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) using tools such as Dataflow, Data proc, and Big Query.
    2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and understand data requirements, and translate them into technical solutions.
    3. Optimize data storage, processing, and retrieval for efficiency and performance.
    4. Implement data governance and security measures to ensure compliance and data integrity.
    5. Monitor and troubleshoot data infrastructure, identifying and resolving issues proactively.
    6. Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in data engineering and GCP technologies.
    7. Mentor junior team members and contribute to their professional development.
    8. Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and sprint planning sessions.
    Requirements:
    1. Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
    2. 4-10 years of experience in data engineering, with a focus on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
    3. Hands-on experience with GCP services such as BigQuery, Dataflow, Data Proc, Pub/Sub, and Data Catalog.
    4. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
    5. Experience with data modeling, schema design, and SQL.
    6. Strong understanding of ETL concepts and tools.
    7. Knowledge of cloud-based data warehousing and analytics solutions.
    8. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
    9. Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
    10. GCP certification(s) is a plus.
