The global GPS Automation team is looking for a Design Tech Manager to run operations for India/MENA marketplaces. The role encompasses work on different projects, all aimed at supporting design automation of marketing campaigns and offering our customers compelling and engaging visual experiences. The candidate should be a leading expert who is creative, analytical, tech-savvy, customer-obsessed and able to manage a small team of design technologists and visual designers working on the same project.The Design Tech Manager will be responsible for: Drive India/MENA goals in order to reach the bigger goals driven by the GPS global automation team Work closely with marketers, merchandisers, design technologists, SDEs and graphic designers Manage a team of design technologists, ensure their development and enable their career growth Understand technical problems (e.g.; components, features) and document requirements to DTs Envisions solutions that answer questions about the design, usability, feasibility, and desirability of proposed CXs. Plan, execute, and deliver of straightforward projects related to an existing program Apply best practices to enhance the efficiency of the team under direct coordination Resolve blocking problems, and generally facilitate delivery Assign individual responsibilities, develop appropriate milestones and launch schedules to ensure timely and successful delivery of a project Work backwards, starting with customers, stakeholders, and any related team owners. You work to understand their needs/problem(s) and you incorporate their context into project plans. Define and clarify business procedures and process requirements Negotiate process improvements and needed features (and their priority), distinguishing between important and urgent. Establish milestones and drive sensible deadlines. You manage project communications and may serve as the first point of contact for team projects. Run effective meetings and are able to dive deeply into details. Your verbal and written style are clear and concise. You are able to transform raw thoughts into clear documentation and requirements (e.g., responsibility matrix, implementation approach, reporting, etc.). You ensure the right information about the state of a project is delivered to the right audience at the right time (e.g., status reports, metrics reports, etc.) Propose and implement operational improvements, specific to India/MENA or with global applicability., 5+ years of experience in managing a team, as well as agile technical/design environment Understanding of technical language Advanced computer literacy in Microsoft Office (especially MS Excel) applications Excellent written and verbal communication skills, should be comfortable writing comprehensive business documents for program stakeholders Excellent organizational skillset, ability to plan and execute programs at global scale Desire to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment and passion for delivering great customer experience Familiar with different aspects of UX design, including density (amount of content presented to customers), diversity (amount of variation in the design), and design language/systems (principles and processes used to create the logic and structure of the design elements).
