Do it here.What you ll be doing.Verizon s Devops Platform Engineering team is looking for DevOps and Cloud infrastructure Engineers. You will be playing a key role in shaping the architecture of the DevOps platform Tools on Cloud along with enabling self-service and innovative solutions.

  • Ensure uptime of the platform for end-users as well as development teams.
  • Build immutable infrastructure in public cloud providers.
  • Build intrinsic connect with user community and understand the business needs.
  • Participate in design review of new infrastructure, and new product/tool development.
  • Develop automation and orchestration playbooks/scripts, blueprints, and/or workflows related to service deployments.
  • Engage with vendors on a regular basis to understand product upgrades and new features.
  • Proactively identify server performance improvements, devise upgrade plans, and execute those plans in a timely manner.
What we re looking for.Youll need to have:
  • Bachelors degree or one or more years of work experience.
  • Linux Administration with Certification.
  • Web Server Administration & Tuning - Nginx & Tomcat Experience.
  • DevOps Tools experience with Jenkins, Ansible & Artifactory.
  • Experience with CI/CD and workflow automation.
Even better if you have one or more of the following:
  • Masters degree.
  • Foundational AWS cloud knowledge - AWS SysOps Admin cert.
  • Scripting knowledge - Linux Scripting; Python.
  • Knowledge of working with Docker.
