Understand the L&T Heavy Civil Infrastructure IC EHS Integrated Management System (IMS) and ensure it is implemented throughout all L&T HCI IC operations.2. Understand & promote L&T L.I.F.E.(Live Injury Free Each day) program and Zero Harm Vision3. Ensure L&T L.I.F.E. EHS leadership training program is delivered throughout the HCI IC.4. Stop work if unsafe practices are witnessed and promote a Dont Walk by & Commitment to Action attitude at all times.5. Co-ordinate all L&T HCI IC EHS matters by receiving regular reports, making EHS visits, and ensuring that information is circulated to keep all concerned fully informed.6. Advise the HCI IC/BU Heads areas of weakness within the EHS IMS and implementation of the system.7. Provide EHS reports to the HCI IC/BU Heads to inform them of the status of EHS performance.8. Co-ordinate the activities of any independent EHS Consultants.9. Generate an awareness of EHS as an integral part of good management.10. Make recommendations to the appropriate management on all matters relating to EHS.11. Collate and collect accident, incident and near miss reports. Prepare reports and distribute information on EHS matters relative to the prevention of accidents and matters relating to general EHS performance to L&T HCI/BU Heads.12. Maintain effective communications with the HCI IC/BU Heads to ensure an adequate flow of EHS information relating to the HC-IC EHS performance.13. Attend HCI IC EHS Management review meeting annually.14. Monitor the provision of EHS training and advice on training requirements.15. Liaise with the HR function to ensure that records of training are fully maintained.16. Provide input into the tendering process to ensure that statutory requirements are planned into projects at the earliest opportunity.17. Review the HCI IC policies annually as a minimum or as dictated by legislation or current events.18. Regularly review the HCI IC EHS IMS & Procedures and update or amend as required.19. Accompany HCI IC/BU Heads on EHS Tours.20. Visit L&T HCI- IC projects on a regular basis, meeting with the project leaders, JV partners, clients and report to the HCI IC/BU Heads the findings21. Use disciplinary procedures in consultation with the HCI IC Head & HR Head if any employee or contractor is careless with regard to their own or others EHS.22. Shall attend EHS Orientation before going in to the field.
