Together, we lead and leave a positive impact on societies, companies and people around the world.You will join our E&I departmentAs a Electrical Engineer in the E&I team, you will be reporting to our HOD (E&I) of the Chennai office.In this role you will primarily involve in Preparation of power system analysis of load flow, short circuit levels, motor starting study, and protective devices co-ordination, Arc Flash Study & Harmonic analysis using EDSA (Paladin design base) / ETAP / CYME or similar software and performing engineering calculations manually based on good engineering practicesResponsibilities

• To support the team on electrical engineering activities using Aveva Engineering & Aveva Electrical tool.

Primary Tasks

• Sizing of electrical equipment such as generators, motors, transformers, switchboards, VFDs, soft starters, power factor correction, cables, UPS systems, batteries, lighting, earthing / bonding and lightning protection systems.
• Review/ preparation of design deliverables such as detailed single line diagrams, cable routing and ladder rack diagrams, interconnection and wiring diagrams, trench layouts, electrical equipment layouts, lighting layouts, earthing and Lightning protection layouts.
• Preparation and through understanding of operating philosophies, specifications and data sheets for various HV and LV electrical equipment.
• Preparation of area classification drawings and selection of electrical equipment for hazardous areas.
• Responsible for completing the project within the time schedule and allocated man-hours
• Coordination with client, vendor / contractor, issue and follow up of CSS questionnaire.
• Preparation and evaluation of project documentation in addition to engineering deliverables.
• Coordination and follow up of electrical design and engineering interfaces with other disciplines.
• Responsible for the quality of the deliverables.

• Bachelor / Master degree holder in Electrical Engineering or Equivalent.
• Should have 6 years of experience in onshore and offshore engineering experience in Electrical discipline
• Should have concept study, FEED and detailed engineering experience.
• Should have involved in engineering interfaces with other disciplines pertaining to refineries, petrochemical and process plants and preferably in consulting or EPIC organization.
• Should have 4 years of experience (independently as a doer) in electrical system study software such as ETAP or EDSA this requirement is preferable and not mandatory
• Well familiar with International codes and standards, materials, specifications, calculations and datasheets.
• The power system study part should have been a hands on experience as doer / checker at least for four years.
• Should have handled assigned simple projects independently.
• Good interpersonal skills, liaising with members of other disciplines and departments.
• Ability or proven experience in an offshoring center or coordinated work with a distant offshoring center.
• Experience from consultancies of repute in greenfield and brownfield activities.

Apart from the above the following skills related to Aveva Engineering & Aveva Electrical is mandatory

• Should have completed at least two projects using Aveva Engineering & Electrical
• Should have created load lists, SLDs, data sheets, block diagrams, wiring drawings, termination drawings, cable schedule and BoM using Aveva tool
• Should have hands on experience on AVEVA Engineering & Electrical usage functionalities
• Should have understanding of client requirements and templates
• Should have knowledge / understanding of E&I deliverables (Cable schedules, Instrument Index, Cable Block Diagram, Loop diagram, Hook-up drawings, Termination drawings etc.)

The following skill set will be nice to have:

• Should be involved in General settings configuration, which is Cable Catalogue Selection Rule, Connection Point Labels, Default Terminal Library, Drawing, Insertion Diagrams, Termination Diagrams, Library DBV, Symbol Template Variant Settings etc.
• Should be involved in Electrical settings configuration, which is Cable Catalogue, Connection Voltages, Core Markings, ETAP Integration, Material Catalogue, Phase Identifiers etc.
• Should be involved in Library configuration Cable Gland Adapters, Cable Lugs, Cable Plugs & Sockets, Cable Transit Parts, Terminals, Enclosure Accessories, Enclosures, Adding Cables to Enclosures, Enclosure components, Equipment Plugs & Sockets, IO Types, Terminal Arrangements, Power Terminal Arrangements, Wiring Rules, Instruments, IO Modules, Devices, Compartments, Installation Details & Hook Up Parts, Installation Details & Hook Up, Motors etc.
• Should be involved in Drawing configurations
• Should have knowledge of Datasheet configuration and attribute mapping.
• Should involve in data integration between AVEVA Products ( AVEVA Unified Engineering, AVEVA Electrical & Instrumentation, Diagram, E3D, etc.) and third-party products.
• Should have experience, understanding about conceptual model, Class associations, Tag Management System etc.
• Should have experience / understanding about AVEVA Vocabularies (Base, E&I, Engineering, ETAP etc.) decoration
