Job Description

    PURPOSE OF THE ROLE The position is responsible to lead the planning, creation and management of high quality contentfor the organization and ensure that its relevance is maintained and adhered to at all levels of delivery in order to effectively build, differentiate and strengthen the organizational brand and safeguard its reputation.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE ROLE Responsibilities CONTENT STRATEGY & PLANNING - Understand the Group philosophy, business objectives and associated brand messages - Write and edit high quality content pieces including op-eds, articles, position papers, thought leadership articles for senior leadership - Create a robust annual content calendar for both internal & external audiences using available and new channels such e-newsletters, quarterly magazine, newsroom, website, vlogs, podcasts etc. - Create Group level guidelines for content writing and reuse for ensuring quality and consistency of messaging - Counsel on use of traditional and emerging media and communication channels across written, visual and social content - Track best practices in the content space and implement to increase effectiveness - Support Global Communications Leader in special projects/ Initiatives as needed in order to meet the communication objectives COMMUNICATION TOOLS MANAGEMENT - Develop strategy to upgrade existing internal and external communication tools; Create new tools and channels to improve distribution and effectiveness of messaging and narrative - Maximize reach of all the existing tools including newsletters, newsroom, website, emailers, social media, etc. - Keep abreast of emerging communication tools and technologies; Educate stakeholders on effectiveness / relevance of tools / technologies and build buy-in for investment / adoption - Manage external agencies for content creation, back-end management of distribution channels, developing and improving UI, etc. CONTENT CREATION & MANAGEMENT - Understand content strategy across businesses - Develop / Identify content champions across all businesses / regions who can share quality content - Build synergy between the internal and external communication platforms so as to repurpose / amplify suitable content in order to build advocacy - Develop regular communication strategies and interventions, like experiential programs , and measure their efficacy for achievement against plan - Research, write and edit content as per target audiences and identified themes; Work with agencies for creation of content regarding specific communication programs / campaigns - Drive the creation of a Knowledge management & Digital archives system that maintains a central and searchable repository of content CAMPAIGN MANAGEMENT - Provide strategic counsel around content creation for all group level campaigns; Create engagement through the campaigns with internal and external stakeholders - Strive to generate high quality stories around Mahindra Rise through all stakeholders that can be leveraged and amplified across the Group - Create listening posts; Activate and manage Internal Communications Council - Oversee pre-during-post campaign listening and analytics; Share insights and iterate on content strategy based on user behavior to drive behaviors that address real business needs - Devise suitable metrics to measure the response to and recall for the campaign PEOPLE MANAGEMENT - Conduct training and orientation sessions for the Group Communications team members with a view to improving and enhancing content delivery - Manage team in terms of goal setting, delivery, performance, development, and engagement - Motivate team to improve productivity, drive engagement in the team, and build a culture of high performance and meritocracy KEY INTERACTIONS Key Interactions: Nature or purpose of interaction Internal Global Communications Leader Communication Heads of businesses Business Heads Corporate HR team Corporate Brand team Internal Communications Team External Editors-in-chief of major publications, channels, etc. Influencers & bloggers PR & media agencies Content management companies,
