Job Description

    Roles and Responsibilities
    • Planning & Developing, Partnering with large Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs), FPC, JLGs, and other community-based institutions and executing Procurement and Supply Chain strategy.
    • Developing the commodity procurement model (Farmer-FPC-Buyers), executing the trading and maintaining relationships with Institutional buyers
    • Design and draft crop advisory modules, SOPs, business MIS and procurement policies for identified FPO/FPC
    • Develop an organizational procurement strategy for the commodity with newsupplier /Mandis identification, development, onboarding, and new program implementation efforts.
    • Manage to source, contracting, transactional purchasing, supplier management, and miscellaneous procurement activities andimplement cost reduction opportunities.
    • Manage external stakeholders like logistics partners/vendors and customers to ensure excellent customer service and lower overall cost to serve. Participate in strategic & tactical planning discussions.
    • To ensure that the purchase is done as per the set quality parameters by the Quality team.
    • Contributes to the development and implementation of optimum purchasing processes, procedures, and systems and the deployment of the same through written policies, procedures, training, and effective measures consistent with internal controls.
    • Handholding of FPOs to provide advisory on Agri input, Agri equipment, KCC loans, Insurance & market linkages.
    • Deriving niche crops or post-harvest plans for the FPOs for sustainability.
    • Deliver timely training and knowledge to the team for skills and competency development.
    • Negotiate contract terms and pricing as per the budget allocated.
    • Conduct Weekly Meetings and Reports required by Management.
    Desired Candidate Profile
    • Proven experience in dealing with Large FPOs
    • Proven experience in procurement of farm output preferably in North India (Wheat, Basmati Rice, Chana, Dals, Soyabean, etc.)
    • Ability and eagerness to solve problems
    • Quantitative mind-set
    • Ability to build, lead and motivate large teams
