*Specific job responsibilities include Oversight of Ennore R&D activities, and coordination with the TSD team.Provide scientific leadership to the R&D functions at Ennore and deliver as per customer requirements.Responsible for on time R&D deliveries at Ennore.Develop and oversee R&D budget and allocation of resources in the R&D teams on the Ennore site.Recruit, motivate, organize train, and manage the R&D teamDefine needs of R&D and supervise the implementation of initiatives and plansWork closely with BD, Sales and other Senior Leaders, for the deepening the business.Explore and assess R&D partnership opportunities, including pharmaceutical companies, biotechnology companies, academic institutions, and not-for-profit organizationsCollaborate with Business Development Director and consultants on BD opportunities to ensure a rigorous scientific approachKeep in close contact with the academic and pharma/biotech sectors and through this be well informed of latest innovations and current developments in R&D, especially for APIs.Represent PPS at major meetings, high level conferences, and be asked to give presentationsProvide strategic inputs as and when appropriate for PPS India goals from the scientific standpointProvide members of leadership teams with continuous scientific inputs as needed in the execution of projects.Develop and sustain the highest quality standards of PPS India development processesKeep SLTs informed on the state-of-the-art drug development techniques and innovations in the fieldLead and develop a consultative approach within PPS and with PPS customers.Develop and oversee initiatives on common resources sharing and capability gap identification and fillingEnsure through scientific review processes of each R&D project by the SLT (internally) and the customer (externally)Ensure scientific coherence between sites.Organize and ensure the quality of the documentation presented to the SLT and Senior Management.Responsible for conducting of successful R&D review meetings either 1:1 or focused group or general reviews that include reviews of the entire portfolio of projects.Work closely with the site heads to ensure on-time delivery/handover of projects to TSD.Follow up on scope creep to projects and recommend strategies to ensure customer satisfaction., *QUALIFICATION:Full time PhD in Organic Chemistry. Post-Doc from a globally reputed institution in ChemistryEXPERIENCE:Minimum 15-20 years relevant experience, with exposure to senior management level in CRAMS, CDMO, services based development organizationsProven ability to work effectively in a team environment and matrix structure is criticalExperience in building and leading teamsProven track record in resource mobilization and deepen businessJob requirementsR&D technical skillsExcellent knowledge of Drug Development, scaleup and Tech transferStrong knowledge of Regulatory (ICH, GxP)Strong technical writing skills (procedures, protocols, and reports)Other requirementsFluency in English with Proficiency in local languages desirableKnowledge of an French or Japanese would be a plus
