The primary role of Engineering function within Product Development teamis to create specifications and designs for new products or improvementsand enhancements to existing products. Works closely with customers,developers and other stakeholders to understand and define customerneeds in these designs. Features are aligned to a timetable and areas ofresponsibility. Developers may solicit customers for feedback regardingproduct usability and desired future enhancements. Software Engineerswho design, write and test code for the product should be matched in theeither Software Engineering Applications or Systems. Product developerswho specialize in hardware systems should be matched to HardwareEngineering.Mid-Level - 4 to 6 yearsSenior - 8+ yearsWORK FROM HOME!!* Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent * 4+ years experience in Java development * Good overall programming experience building large scale systems * Good grasp of software development life cycles * Good understanding of design patterns, data structures and efficientprogramming models * Good understanding of database table structures and queries * Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving skills * Good time management/ prioritization/ organizational skills/ handlingof unplanned tasks/ ability to meet monthly objectives.About Responsibilities* Actively participate with project team members to understandfunctional and system requirements and provide feedback regardingfeasibility, risks and constraints * Design and develop maintainable code based on functional and systemrequirements without direct supervision * Work closely with project team members to ensure product integrityand quality are maintained and improved * Ability to analyse and debug existing systems * Understanding of data structures, logic, design method and techniques * Participate in the testing process through unit testing and bug fixes * Review conceptual designs to ensurescalability/applicability/quality/comprehensiveness * Present ideas for system and technology improvements * Review the work of others * Develop solution summary documentation (e.g. conceptual data model,process flows) * Ensure alignment of solutions with business and IT goals/objective
