Job Description

    DescriptionPosition at LogitechThe RoleThe Junior Data Scientist ideal candidate will work in the Data Science team from the Analytics & Machine Learning department and will run analytical experiments and will regularly evaluate alternate models via theoretical approaches. He/She will implement models to fit the strategy defined at the team level. His/Her responsibilities ranges from solution proposal to project implementation. He/She will work in our Indian Office based in Chennai.One major aspect of this role is the interaction with the Business Group departments. He/She will work closely with our IT center based in Chennai and with various actors in our regional headquarters (Europe, America and Asia-Pacific).Your ContributionBe Yourself. Be Open. In this role you will: Understand the business problem the partner is trying to solve Able to. collect and cleanup the required data for models Implement Machine Learning and Deep Learning models Explain the results of the models and propose next steps Contribute positively as a team player in order to increase the teams contribution to Logitech success Contribute to the extension of the long term vision of the teamKey QualificationsFor consideration, you must bring the following minimum skills and behaviors to our team: Good familiarity with Python Good knowledge of scraping methods Good knowledge of Unsupervised and Supervised ML algorithms including Neural Networks /Deep Learning Familiarity with Text Mining, Natural Language Processing, and Social Network Graphs Understanding of Business purpose of a project Ability to transition from the Proof of Concept phase to a final application Ideally, already had exposure to large data setsIn Addition, Preferable Skills And Behaviors Include Team player Ability to adapt to any situation Entrepreneurial / innovation mindset Hands-on to get things done fast and able to work in ambiguity and without continual guidance Inquisitive mind with the ability to recognize inefficiencies and challenge the status quo Attention to detail combined with creative thinking Good written and verbal communication skills Ability to connect easily with colleagues Ability to tailor insights to present clearly to technical and non-technical audiences Multi-cultural exposure, especially exposed to our three regions culturesEducation Bachelor degree in Business Analytics or Engineering with a background in statisticsLogitech is the sweet spot for people who are passionate about products, making a mark, and having fun doing it.
