Job Description

    Responsibilities & Key Deliverables 1) Shall be responsible to Finalize Material & Manufacturing Method for all the ICE & Electric Vehicle Aluminum components in BIW, Chassis, Suspension and Battery Pack Components to meet the Performance, reliability, manufacturability, repair, Cost & Weight Targets . 2) Shall be responsible to deliver the Technical Skills in the Failure Analysis so as to Fix the Root Cause & to Identify the suitable Corrective Actions . 3) Be responsible for assisting Vehicle System Development programs by involving in supplier evaluation & audit. 4) Involve proactively in the early phase of design to guide Design Engineers with suitable Aluminum material & joining process recommendations including trade-off studies 5) Be responsible for creating & updating Aluminum material properties including variations, endurance strength, thermal properties, strain rate dependent properties etc., to be used in engineering analysis of design 6) Proactively update materials specification & guidelines to be inline with current Global Standards 7) Develop close relationship with Material testing agencies across India/Globe for conducting specific tests to support the projects / programs 8) Drive and integrate the new technologies in the areas of Aluminum material, Extrusion, Roll forming and Welding and Adhesive Bonding process & coatings . 9) Shall be able to identify continuously the Potential Value Engineering Proposals & Cost Reduction Activities in the areas of Sheet Metal, Coatings, Aluminum & Heat Treated Parts. - Shall be able to lead a Team of People to deliver the Organizational Goal by demonstrating a very good Team Work. Experience 5 to 8 YearsExperienced in Selection of Materials, Material Benchmarking , Failure Analysis, Metallurgical Testing, Interface Management Supplier Audits,Basic Knowledge in Patentablity Study, Awareness on Various Global and IS Standards for Material and Testing. Industry Preferred Automotive OEMs, Tier 1 Suppliers of Aluminum Sheet Metal , Extrusion and Rollformed Component Suppliers Qualifications B.E / B.Tech - Metallurgy / M.E / M.Tech - Metallurgy (Preferably Specialized in Aluminum Extrusion / Roll Forming /Aluminum Welding ) General Requirements Should have Very Good Communication Skills and should be a Good Team Player.
