The function supports both very strategic & operational QSE tasks, supervise towards achieving the QSE goals and targets, as well as directs the Global Management System and its certification against ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001.QSE Global Development & Excellence (GDE) is a global function under Global QSE with focus on guiding group wide Management systems, Digital Technology & tools, Advanced Quality, QSE Centralized Operations and Six sigma & Continuous Improvement. People are located in India & propel global activities collaborating with the regional QSE resources and all other functions across globe.Digital Technology & tools team is committed to provide solutions to global teams in Quality, Safety & Environment areas such as Incident management system, Non-conformance management system, Mobile app-based inspection forms, PowerBI based data analytical reports & Data science solutions. We are looking for Lead QSE Engineer @ Chennai office, who will gather requirements, promote developments through IT, diagnose & administer QSE application and tools.ResponsibilitiesMain responsibilities of this job position will be to:

  • Coordinate development of IT tools & solutions to support QSE processes in collaboration with Global IT
  • Gather QSE business requirements from internal stakeholders such as factories, construction, service etc
  • Facilitate to-be business process for the proposed developments
  • Formulate high level business solutions/scope
  • Work with Global IT to formulate technical solutions
  • Co-ordinate the IT development & verify solution
  • Plan along with business stakeholders for deployment of solution
  • Arrange instructions/trainings to the end users
  • Work with internal business partners for developing QSE IT road map
  • Maintain Super user community to ensure continuous improvement of the applications/tools
  • Business process modeling using ARIS
  • Administer SAP NCM , QDA , ARIS tools in terms access, end user trainings & clarifications for user questions
  • Handling system change requests
  • Diagnose & Co-ordinate with global IT for system bug fixing
QualificationWe expect candidates to have:
  • Degree in Engineering
  • SAP QM certification
  • 10 to 15 years of experience
CompetenciesFollowing skills and competences are expected:
  • Ability to gather business requirements from stakeholders
  • Ability to facilitate business super users
  • Ability to map/tailor business quality requirements to SAP QM module
  • Experience in SAP QM module implementation or maintenance
  • Quality Processes knowledge - Non-conformance Management (NCM), PPAP , process inspections etc
  • Knowledgeable in capturing NCM & cost of poor quality in the processes
  • Knowledgeable in QDA (SPC, PPAP & incoming inspection) modules
  • Ability to resolve the tool issues using Analytical skills/Critical thinking
  • Open minded & explores new QSE tools
  • Capability to comprehend complex solutions
  • Proactive and creative
  • A good collaborator and good at stakeholder management
  • Motivated regarding work hours (international environment)
