Manager - Information and Technology ServicesPosting Location : Location US-OH-RemotePosting date 1 day ago(3/22/2022 9:58 AM)Job ID 94883 Workday ID R-023755 About the job The Red Hat Enterprise Applications team is looking for a talented IT Manager to lead our master data management (MDM) efforts. In this role, you will be responsible for planning, leading, organizing, and motivating teams focused on delivering MDM capabilities and business customer hierarchies required to increase customer insights and operational efficiencies across a growing global B2B organization. You will be responsible for managing several concurrent, high-visibility projects in a fast-paced environment that crosses multiple business divisions. As an IT Manager with a specialization in MDM, you will be expected to use your deep knowledge and experience in combining traditional project management principles and practices with expertise in delivering critical data governance outputs that yield a positive impact on the business. Mastering the customer domain represents the first area of focus, but other areas like offering are expected to follow. Successful applicants must reside in a state where Red Hat is registered to do business. What you will do
• Design solutions focusing on the customer domain initially, while gathering use cases from business stakeholders throughout the company
• Partner with the Enterprise Data Governance team to translate MDM and reference data management into an attainable roadmap
• Build a convincing business case and promote ideas and concepts effectively across a wide and diverse set of audiences
• Define project scope and schedule while focusing on regular and timely delivery of value for customer master data management; organize and lead project status and working meetings, prepare and distribute progress reports, manage risks and issues, correct deviations from plans, and perform delivery planning for assigned projects
• Support key company programs for MDM, data alignment, data migration, and data quality
• Manage the vendor and lead the proof of concept offering evaluation to support the enterprise MDM platform
• Support the data governance leader in managing stakeholder expectations for project deliverables and communications and help to implement an effective system for project governance
• Define measurement and tracking for project success that is tied to business outcomes
• Hold teams accountable for their commitments, remove obstacles to their work, and make use of organizational resources to improve capacity for project work
What you will bring
• 8+ years of experience within enterprise MDM and data governance functions with a record of managing large, complex projects in a high-tech development environment with multifunctional teams
• Direct experience implementing and managing MDM, information quality, and stewardship programs
• Solid knowledge of B2B customer hierarchies and customer master data
• Extensive experience with enterprise MDM tools
• Demonstrated ability to manage data governance council expectations, lead discussions, and get business stakeholders buy-in to solution proposals
• Proven experience in translating business problems into actionable MDM initiatives
• Prior experience with scrum or agile methodologies used in enterprise-level application development projects to focus on delivering value incrementally
• Expert level of technical background to provide highly credible leadership to development teams and to be able to accurately and objectively evaluate complex project risks and issues
• Excellent analytical, planning, and organizational skills with an ability to manage competing demands
• Knowledge and understanding of business needs with the ability to establish and maintain stakeholder trust and confidence
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and experience interacting with business and IT individuals at all levels, including the executive level
• Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree; Master s degree is a plus
