Job Description

Accurately assign ICD-IO-CM codes to diagnoses from the care plans and documentation submitted by the client
Perform OASIS reviews in accordance with guidelines
Follow up with clients to obtain missing or incomplete information
Stand up for what you believe in and educate colleagues and clients on your points of

Act as a subject matter expert regarding Coding and OASIS questions by clients and key stakeholders
Constantly up-to-date with coding guidelines and reimbursement reporting requirements
Review and identify errors and report them to supervisor or department manager for follow-up
Probe clients clinicians when code assignments are unclear or when documentation is inadequate or ambiguous
