Job Description

Power Solutions is where new product ideas and technologies are developed, matured, tested and improved. To put it short, we in Vestas Power Solutions are the cornerstone of Vestas - we are shaping the future of modern products. You will be part of the NPM department that operates across vestas value chain and focusing on preparing products to enter serial production. The CI lead is responsible for optimization projects focusing on quality improvements post TR6.Responsibilities

  • Initiates and facilitates improvement programs for propelling down Non-conformities during NPI and post TR6
  • Conduct systematic root cause analysis using six sigma tools with primary focus on issues involving product/VPS. -Supervise/support role
  • Organize cross functional team when necessary for conducting RCA. Supervise team, document clear actions and enable timeline for implementations.
  • Support Level 4/5 QBD cases involving VPS/product.
  • Support CIM case RCAs, containment actions, support to create and validate repair methods
  • Support other quality improvement strategic projects from COO/VPS group to propel down NCs.
  • Build lessons learned documentation for the failure modes/RCs observed from NCs. Provide quality close loop feedback to design team to improve design robustness for new product lines.
  • Run/ coordinate FE structural analysis for critical NCs. Use FE analysis for creating basis, repair limits for new blade repair methods. Validate the risks in the repair and develop repair FMEA documentations for new repair methods.
  • Evaluate CTQ compliance across factories as input for new project upon specific request from new project
  • Factories NCs case handling on need basis. (adhoc)
Qualifications
  • Bsc or Engineering in Mechanical / Production / Chemical with 3 to 5 years experience
  • Six Sigma -At least Green belt (DMAIC or DFSS) or ability to achieve
  • Experience in CI/Lean methodology
  • knowledge in RPA (Robotic Process Automation) / Programming Language (C++ / VBA)
  • shop floor work experience in blade manufacturing & / or assembly manufacturing - Either Quality control or production Engineering
Competencies
  • Ability to engage and Supervise cross-functional team
  • Solid change management skills to include the practical implementation of Lean Manufacturing Principles and Concepts
  • Problem analysis and problem resolution at both a strategic and functional level
  • Solid problem solving and methodical skills
  • Ability to perform repair risk assessment and detailed understanding of composite structures
  • Basic work experience in CAE applications (Ansys, hypermesh etc)-optional
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
