Job Description

Supply Chain & Repair, SDC Chennai, SIOPAt Vestas, Service SIOP (Sales, Inventory Operations Planning) we are constantly optimizing the service supply chain in order to deliver on time to our customers, and at the same time have an optimized supply chain with low inventory and efficient setup. It is an ever-developing task in an ever-growing environment.Responsibilities

  • Supervise a team of 15+ Supply Chain Analyst supporting Spares, Main components, and CIM Planning activities
  • Collaborate with SIOP- DK to onboard new processes, estimate resource requirements, and handle the transition
  • Collaborate with the regional supply chain team to analyze the burning issues and establish action plans to solve it
  • Continuously standardize, automate and improve the efficiency of the processes and optimize the resources
  • Guide the analysts in the area of demand and supply planning issues to identify solutions to improve availability and inventory targets
  • Identify the supply chain data and critical capabilities that are required to improve choice in the supply chain organization
  • Embrace self-service analytics by identifying appropriate tools and technologies and provide support and motivation to the team for learning and development
  • Introduce and support new training methods to improve the data literacy of the team
  • Liaise with IT, SAP, External Consultants, Customer, and development project teams to ensure business requirements are supported by IT/3rd party solutions
  • Collaborate with peer managers in SDC to address common process issues and issues
  • Handle the evolving job content of the analysts and enrich it by collaborating with the SIOP-DK
  • Recruit, coach, and provide mentorship to the team members
Qualifications
  • Post Graduation in Operations/Supply Chain from a premium Institute
  • 6-10 years of experience from a global supply chain organization of which 3+ years in handling a team
  • Experience in cross-cultural interactions and international stakeholders collaboration is highly desirable
  • Experience in Demand Planning, Supply Planning, or distribution Planning
  • Experience in SAP MM, PD, APO, MRP configurations, Master data governance
  • Supply chain certifications ( eg: APICS-CPIM, CSCP ) preferred but not mandatory
  • Exposure to evolving technologies(SQL, R, Python, Power BI, Tableau, etc) which supports fact-based administration

  • Demonstrates effective communication to all levels of the business
  • Will be required to work independently with frequent changes in priority
  • Demonstrate a high degree of analytics proficiency
  • Not restricting himself/herself within the Roles & Responsibilities boundaries and willingness to reach out for getting things done
  • Cross-cultural understanding is needed
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Ability to communicate complex supply chain information in a simple and transparent manner
