The POS systems provide software solutions to enable front end register technology in Walmart stores. This includes the manned and self-checkout lanes, server infrastructure within each store as well as services running in Containerization on the cloud and makes it easier on customers wallet by spreading out holiday payments over a period. It also provides the users an option to query tlog data.We are looking for a Technical Lead for the Point of Sale development team to Design, build, test and deploy cutting edge solutions at scale. You will work within our agile software development process and have an important impact on the POS products that we built. You will need to exhibit strong leadership and communication skills to collaborate with product, engineering and management across different geographic locations. Create and recommend solution design options factoring in requirements, standards and current Infrastructure environment. Communicate and present solutions to the other stakeholders. Guide and mentor other members in the team to promote highly technical and self-sufficient teams.Skillset:Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.12+ years of experience with building scalable, high performing and robust applications; design, develop, test and operate code across multiple productions systems.Design, develop and deploy distributed systems with a focus on high availability, low latency, and scalability.Experience in design and development of highly scalable applications and platform development.Strong expertise in developing applications in Java, Spring boot, SQL Server, Azure COSMOS DB, Kubernetes & KafkaHands-on experience in React JS, Redux, HTML, modular CSS, Javascript, libraries, components and frameworks.Strong hands on experience with RESTful Web Services, microservice architecture and techniques to unit test and integration test these services.Deep knowledge of UI design principles, patterns and best practicesSolid understanding of software design and patterns like - MVC, Delegation, Singleton, Factory, AdapterExpertise in memory management, multithreading, networking & SecurityExperience in Microsoft Azure cloud technologiesSound knowledge of source code management - Git/ GitHub.Help put tools, processes, and documentation in place to improve our code quality.Strong writing and communication skills.Previous experience in Point of Sale (POS) Application Development a plusShould understand principles of mobile development and should have experience in developing apps in Android OS a plusPrevious experience or knowledge on Electrode framework a plusOur Ideal Candidate:You should have a deep interest and passion for technology.
