BASIC FUNCTIONS: This position is a senior position that will work with one or more Business Units, supporting multiple complex projects aimed at delivering IT solutions and services that meet company cost, quality, and strategic targets. The role will predominantly focus on gathering and analyzing work group data, defining current processes and requirements, researching best practices, and identifying and documenting process improvements and functional specifications. Role incumbents will typically be experienced analysts with a strong background and track record of success in business analysis in a related IT industry, and able to provide guidance to less-experienced team members.QUALIFICATIONS: 10 years of IT business analyst experience BS/BA degree in relevant discipline or equivalent experience required; ISEB-qualified Business Analyst required; advanced degree requiredTECHNICAL SKILLS: A strong knowledge of conceptual data modeling, UML modeling, data flows, data analysis, and data processing. Proven track record of gathering business requirements and translating them into user stories/functional specifications, gained on projects of considerable scale and/or complexity. Ability to maintain automated test scripts. Broad understanding of software development methodologies. Strong facilitation skills; ability to facilitate workshops with all staff levels. Strong communication skills that allow for effective communication across all levels of the organization. Written communication skills including process documentation. IT research, software analysis, and design skills. Ability to guide and mentor less-experienced team members. Proficient in documenting As-Is and To-Be processes. Broad technical understanding across various methodologies, platforms, tools, and languages. Previous experience of working in an agile environment and using recognized development methodology; e.g., Agile, SCRUM, and KANBAN. Excellent organization/project planning, time management, and change management skills across multiple functional groups and departments, and excellent delegation skills involving prioritizing and reprioritizing projects and managing projects of various size and complexity. Advanced problem-solving experience involving leading teams in identifying, researching, and coordinating the resources necessary to effectively troubleshoot/diagnose complex project issues; prior success extracting/translating findings into alternatives/solutions; and identifying risks/impacts and schedule adjustments to facilitate management decision-making. Advanced communication (verbal and written) and customer service skills. Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills applicable to a wide audience including senior and executive management, customers, etc., including diction/terminology and presenting information in a concise and effective manner to clients, management, and various departments using assorted communication mediums.Advanced knowledge of Salesforce.com and related technologiesACCOUNTABILITIES: Elicit business requirements and analyze existing business processes and their alignment with current systems or proposed solutions. Model proposed software specifications and perform requirement/artifact traceability. Serve as liaison for the integration and communication among applications, databases, and technology platforms on a business and technological level. Conduct business process analyses and business needs/requirements elicitation in an effort to align information technology with business initiatives. Perform analysis on existing systems; identifying options for potential solutions and assess for both technical and business suitability. Understand organizational motivations including problems, goals, and objectives. Assess and document the benefits, risks, and critical success factors of the project. Demonstrate that business needs are satisfied within a given technical solution. Participate in developing functional and nonfunctional requirements, testing, training, and implementing applications into production environments that support the Business Unit. Work between remote development teams, internal IT, and business to ensure requirements are being met. Guide and mentor less-experienced staff as necessary. All other duties as assigned.,
