Product Head - Wedding Services Role : Product Head (Wedding Services)Reporting to Business Head - Himanshu Kapsime Brief Description about the role : Managing the complete product suite and leading the product team for wedding services (Wedding Bazaar & Mandap.com) - from user insights and product strategy to execution, stakeholder management and fostering a culture conducive to growth. Key Responsibilities : Product Strategy : - Business Outcome Ownership - Build a culture which is biased towards outcomes, not output. This includes making sure that all projects are outcome driven, ensuring that outcomes are meaningful to the business, making team members at all levels feel committed to deliver outcomes and connecting outcomes to company strategy.- Product Vision & Road mapping - You define an overarching vision for the product and enable your team to define impactful roadmaps for their product areas. The vision and the roadmaps are aligned with the company strategy. You work with your team and executives across the company to make effective prioritization decisions and deliver the vision.- Strategic Impact - As owner of the product, you are a key contributor to the companys strategy and its execution. You build a product culture that ensures that product development translates into meaningful progress towards strategic goals. You work with the executive team to set a strategy, define the products role in that strategy and achieve it.Customer Insight :- Fluency with Data - You have a broad and deep understanding of the metrics that drive the business and use that understanding to guide the product strategy. You create a data-centric product culture, ensuring that team members understand how to translate test results and product insights into actionable to build impactful products.- Voice of the customer - You build a customer obsessed culture that values customer empathy and is committed to making products that provide value in customers lives. You are the voice of the customer on the executive team, making sure that all members of the team understand the role the product and business has in peoples lives.- User Experience Design - You create a culture that enables the product , design, and engineering teams to work as a single unit to build delightful & exceptional products. You work with the design team to deliver a product that reinforces the companys brand and positioning. You understand the role that design plays in creating effective user experiences that hit success metrics and deliver business impact.Execution :- Feature specification - You work to continuously improve the specification process for the product teams - both the process to create specifications and the process to review and provide feedback on specs.- Product Delivery - You ensure the right processes are in place to maximize the speed and quality of execution for all members of the product team. You proactively identify and solve execution issues and change the people and processes necessary to efficiently deliver products.- Product Quality Assurance - You build a quality first culture that ensures shipping products that meet the companys performance, stability, design, and business quality goals.Influencing People :- Stakeholder Management - You build a culture that includes various stakeholders as critical teammates in product development. You encourage your team to tap into the diverse ideas of people around the company to build better, more effective products. You and your team make tough prioritization decisions when necessary, and rally everyone, including dissenters, around those decisions.- Team Leadership - You create a leadership culture that values learning, development, coaching, and growth. You ensure that the team has the skills that it needs to effectively deliver todays roadmap, while also scaling the teams expertise to grow with the company. You think proactively about org structure, hiring, and team placement to set up the product team for maximum success.- Managing Up - You effectively work as an extension of the executive team helping to define strategy, communicate strategy to the product team and across the company. You are able to direct resources to achieve the most important strategic objectives. Skill and Competencies : - Empathy and communication- Grit and speed of learning- Great people skills with high level of assertiveness- Strong analytical, strategic and coordinating skills- Sound knowledge and understanding of business & technology.
