Job summaryAmazon is seeking an experienced Program Manager who is looking to work on making the Amazon Appstore digital content experience on Amazon supported devices seamless.We are looking for a Program Manger to lead multiple efforts across digital content for Appstore team at Amazon. In this role, you will partner with many functions to clearly define requirements, and you will own defining the programs, mechanisms, and processes necessary to communicate these requirements and ensure all teams deliver on them. You will also play a key role in improving customer and app developer experience through the digital content certification processes while driving operational efficiencies.A successful candidate will have a passion and a track record of creating medium scale programs, defining and refining mechanisms, and successfully rolling them out to deliver results. They will have a balance of high judgment, analytical thinking, excellent communication skills, and the ability to stay the course no matter how challenging the goal.Key job responsibilitiesPM II must be able to work independently with multiple teams to successfully manage difficult, cross-functional projects in order to deliver high quality results.To drive the right outcomes, PM II must have a deep understanding of the business requirements and goals. PM II has a solid understanding of the business problems, tools, workflows and interdependencies that pertain to the program.PM II manages a small program and partners with stakeholders and/or managers to secure resources, scope efforts, set project priorities, milestones and drive delivery to meet deadlines in order to meet program goals.PM II must be able to make connections and know who the key stakeholders are to include in the conversation. PM II keeps the scope of effort under control and accelerates progress or operational efficiencies by driving crisp and timely decisions, identifying and clearing blockers, and escalating appropriately.PM II owns project status communication and consistently imparts clear and concise summaries for the projects the PM II owns to the leadership/management team and is effective at answering questions in detail.PM II has good working relationships with stakeholders, managers and peers.PM II recognizes discordant views and takes part in constructive dialogue to resolve them.A day in the lifeJoining our team will give you endless opportunities to use your passion, ingenuity, experience, and pragmatism to build a world-class Appstore experience for Amazon FireTV devices. To be successful youll need to have lots of experience with Java, customer focus, experience of SOA, experience working with databases, experience handling scale, and excellent communication skills. You must be a fast, efficient coder and make coding and design decision with multiple simultaneous dimensions in mind. We, EDS Entertainment Devices Services team in Chennai, work on continuously improving the customer experience with highly complex programs that span across multiple teams., 3+ years experience in program or project management Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements 3+ years experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams 3+ years of experience operating at large scale within technology organizations A track record for driving execution and delivering results in diverse technology and organizational environments. Prior experience with agile methodologies Excellent problem-solving skills. Both technically deep and business savvy enough to interface with all levels and disciplines within the organization Demonstrated ability to coordinate projects across functional teams, including engineering, IT, product management, marketing, finance, and operations Working Knowledge of SQL and using Tableau or similar tools Comfortable working in a fast paced, highly collaborative and dynamic environment Comfortable handling a ambiguous problem statement and complex programs independently.
