Let s build something special, and have a ton of fun doing it!Key job responsibilities* Create and document test plans for end to end user scenarios* Deploy services through test and production stages* Execute periodic manual and automated test cases* Investigate and reproduce bugs and drive fixes through test and production stages* Develop manual and automated UI tests* Prepare datasets in test and production databases* Improve end to end testing of legacy services* Identify and debug test automation failures* Coordinate testing across disciplines and teamsA day in the lifeAs a QAE on the team, you will champion the quality of our features in our development pipeline using both automated and manual tests, reporting and verifying defects, and signing-off on features and release candidates. You will own authoring and the execution of test plans and test cases. You will have a significant impact on the quality and delivery speed of our software, our business, and most importantly our customers. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and other QA in order to ensure the features we deliver to our customers have a high level of quality. In addition, you will also have the opportunity to propose improvements to our existing processes and automated tools in order to improve the team s speed, quality, and efficiency.About the teamAVS Organization is chartered to enable Alexa outside of Amazon manufactured devices. Our team is responsible for building and evolving Alexa experience in all of partner devices. This is an opportunity to provide leadership and drive programs to build an innovative Alexa experience impacting billions of customers and devices. We are starting up India site in 2022 with exciting roadmap of innovation and scale.The teams in India will independently own and deliver end to end products for partners and Alexa customers. The India team will consist of Product Managers, Technical Program Managers, Principal Engineer, Senior Engineers, QA Engineers and Software Development Managers, * Experience in manual testing* 4+ year of experience working as a Quality Assurance Engineer* Experience in automation testing* Bachelors of Computer Science, Mathematics or a related field* 3+ years experience in creating, managing and implementing test plans* Experience with testing methodologies and techniques* Testing background in Linux environment and using shell scripts* Programming experience in Java/C++ and SQL* Scripting experience in Perl/Ruby/Shell scripts* Experience in UI testing* Experience in agile software development methodologies Master s degree* Good communication skills* Web based manual and automated UI testing experience a plus* Ability to adapt to new challenges and overcome hurdles* Experience in XP or Scrum a plus* Familiarity with design concepts such as design-patterns, object oriented programming and UML is highly desirable
