Job Description

    Primary Job Responsibilities:
    • Identify new opportunities and continuous improvement to contribute to the team s KPIs and targets.
    • Work closely with Technology and Machine-Learning experts and other business stakeholders to determine how to design solutions in an efficient and effective manner that will not only enable new ventures but also provide the necessary risk management opportunities
    • Bringing to life solutions and making them actionable and relevant to stakeholders through exploratory analysis of internal and external data to help PayPal remain competitive in the market.
    • Creating and managing execution of roadmap including data management, analytical research, solution implementation, and monitoring to ensure that the present and future needs of the Risk Management team are understood, prioritized, and delivered
    • Providing regular updates to leadership, governance, product and other stakeholders that will simplify and clarify complex concepts effectively with emphasis on the actionable outcomes and impact to business
    • Effectively managing relevant stakeholders through the lifecycle of a project by effectively understanding the various needs, priorities and perspectives in order to drive for a solution
    • Establishing and growing relationships to build cross-functional consensus for insight driven improvements through effective partnership within a matrixed and global organization
    • Identifying present or future gaps in the team s existing reporting and tools suite
    Required Qualifications
    • Bachelors Degree in a quantitative discipline (Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, Math, Statistics)
    • 3-4 years experience in analytics, model-building, management consulting or product management
    • Experience with and proficiency in technical skills and programming language like Java/C/C++; scripting language like Perl/Python; strong UNIX background; working knowledge of Hadoop, Map-Reduce, Hive, Pig, R, Jupyter Notebooks; data warehouse skills
    • Experience in at least one statistical programming language (SAS, R, Python)
    • Experience with project/program management
    Preferred Skills:
    • Strong ability in breaking down problems into their essential elements, carrying out a diagnosis and developing a solution
    • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills with senior leaders of the organization
    • Strong ability to collaborate and influence stakeholders at all levels in the organization
