The Role ResponsibilitiesJob Role

• Act as Test Automation Lead.
• Drive and Implement testing best practices.

Strategy

• Awareness and understanding of the CCIB Testing Strategy including automation of system, regression and performance testing.

Business

• Aware of impact on the business users and our clients that are product is built for - focus should be creating value quickly, however safely, sustainably so it scales.

Processes

• Master of CCIB Testing practices and concepts.
• Demonstrated ability create transparency and monitor effectiveness around testing practices through data driven analysis and conversations.
• Demonstrated experience removing team impediments to help them improve short and long term.
• Good understanding on Release Management, DevOps, Engineering Practices, Quality and Test strategies.
• Knowledge and / or experience with various successful Agile techniques: Visual Management, User Stories, ATDD, BDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, XP, Agile Games.
• Previous experience working with Software Reliability Engineering (SRE) approaches (e.g. Release engineering, Observability, Error budgets, etc) and / or DevOps or Automation focused teams will be highly valued.
• Knowledge of Banking ecosystems - preferably in Risk or Corporate and Institutional Clients domain with understanding of associated applications, complex systems interfaces, products, process, and Risk regulatory framework / models / reporting.

• Able to raise and manage Risk, Assumptions, Issues and Dependences in conjunction with stakeholders and team.

Governance

• Ability to manage Testing Governance including but not limited to test pack, evidences, reports, sign-off etc in conjunction with stakeholders and team

Our Ideal Candidate

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, engineering or equivalent discipline, candidate must have relevant experience fulfilling responsibilities of the position.
• Ideal candidate must have proven credentials of delivering in world class engineering teams.
• Must be a confident self-starter with ability collaborate and devise solutions.
• Must model behaviour that facilitate Agile delivery and must be willing to learn.
• Relevant industry certifications are an added plus.

Other Experience

• Should be participating in testing and quality assurance activities by adopting Agile practices Perform Quality Assurance.
• Should be aligned to the banks Systems Delivery Framework standards.
• Should have deep knowledge on API Services, REST Services.
• Should perform and be involved in all aspects of testing Delivery to the highest standards of quality.
• Should actively get involved in innovation for better ways of working.
• Should implement automation using a BDD approach through Gherkin / Cucumber for UI and API Testing.
• Should demonstrate excellent hands-on experience in building and implementing automation and should leverage the Banks official in-house test automation framework built on Open source stack e.g. Core Java and Selenium API (Web Browser) / Cucumber API and other API libraries.
• Should demonstrate and implement back-end validation using Structured Query Language.
• Should collaborate and work with distributed teams and leverage tools like Bitbucket, JIRA, Confluence, Azure DevOps.
• Hands on with Cloud Services. OpenShift / AWS is must.
• Ensure self and delivery teams implement and practice all aspects of Continuous Integration and Deployment.
• Should take challenges head on and be able resolve bottlenecks / impediments.
• Should be self-motivated and demonstrate a positive attitude.

It would be an advantage to possess domain / functional knowledge in Credit or Loan Origination.Role Specific Technical Competencies

• Constantly be on the lookout for ways to improve monitoring, discover issues and deliver better value to the customer Identifying/Gathering/ Questioning and challenging when necessary / documenting the interface requirements front to back
• Elicit and test the documented business and systems requirements
• Facilitate UAT support and other required activities
• Identify ways to increase adoption and customer satisfaction
• Test documentation skills and communication
