Job Description

The Senior Director - IT will be based in Chennai.We are looking for someone who demonstrates:

Here is a glimpse of what you will do:
  • Partner with stakeholders in planning and executing technology strategy in alignment with the business goals.
  • Responsible for strategizing/designing/developing/maintaining enterprise solutions end to end through appropriate technology selection, best practices, staffing and management of cross-functional teams.
  • Leading a world class development team (onshore and offshore) to digitize and automate business processes improving productivity.
  • Identify the need for upgrades across the landscape and work with stakeholders to implement them.
  • Responsible for devising and modifying departmental procedures and guidelines to assure a competent work at the highest level of all phases of software development lifecycle.
  • Collaborate and manage relationships with other IT teams to drive simplification and efficiency in existing and new platforms & architectures to ensure solutions maintenance, availability, scalability, compliance and innovation.
  • Purchase efficient and cost-effective technological equipment and software.
  • Assist in building relationships with vendors and creating cost-efficient contracts.
  • Provide Mentorship, guidance and training to team members.
Here is some of what you will need:
  • 20 years of overall experience with 10 in defining solutions for large enterprise applications (Business Processes Automation)
  • Strong leadership skills and experience in managing diverse technical teams at multiple locations.
  • Knowledge of Web Technologies such as Html 5, CSS 3, jQuery, Spring MVC and Web Services (REST).
  • Strong command on Java/J2EE concepts and current industry trends.
  • Strong knowledge on design and integration patterns specially in applications involving Portals/SSO, legacy applications, B2B Applications etc.
  • Experience in Continuous Integration & Continuous Deployment (DevOps).
  • Awareness of new and emerging technologies (especially Business process management related) and the potential application service offerings.
  • Ability to research multiple options to solve business needs and assess the feasibility and risk associated with proposed solutions.
  • Experience working with multiple IT functions such as infrastructure, operations, enterprise architecture, info security etc.
  • Experience working with multi-vendor, multi-culture, distributed offshore and onshore development teams in dynamic and complex environment.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Here are a few of our preferred experiences:
  • Experience in designing/building finance applications/systems.
  • Oracle Fusion Middleware experience is added advantage.
  • Good experience and knowledge on Service Orchestration, Business Process Choreography and BPEL.
  • Experience in implementing Webservices Security using WS-Security, SAML, Kerberos and integrating with Identity provides, LDAP and ADFS.
  • Knowledge and Experience working with cloud platforms.
  • Knowledge of microservice-based development.
