Do it here.What you ll be doing.The Corporate Systems Group (CSG) Core PMO team is responsible for strategy and implementation of systems solutions that support ERP (Enterprise Resource Platform) and other applications for Finance, Accounting, AP, and Payroll. This position will report to the Sr. Manager of Payroll, Time & Labor PMO.The Technical Product Owner(TPO) is responsible for all configuration of VZTime (Infor application supporting enterprise time reporting across a broad employee landscape). The TPO will work closely with internal customers to resolve VZTime and other Payroll systems-related issues, while being responsible for all configuration work necessary in new requests/projects. You will be required to evaluate and recommend changes to custom configurations and procedures to streamline processes and enhance automation.
• Use advanced analysis and problem solving skills to test and triage routine, complex and non-routine issues in Payroll Systems including VZTime (Infor Workbrain), PeopleSoft, and others.
• Data analysis and solution design. Process mapping, system configuration documentation.
• Capture and report configuration metrics and demand analysis via monthly and ad hoc reporting for VZTime and other Payroll systems.
• Support new product development & system implementations, enhancement requests, production bug fixes in the realm of time reporting, Payroll and absence administration.
• Configure and support time codes, calculation groups, data tables - to meet standards, and customer and project demands.
• Responsible for keeping track of all in flight items throughout.
• Include VZTime and PeopleSoft development teams in joint configuration design reviews and solution development.
• Create recommendations to leverage Infor (and other technology solutions) for more core / standard solutions.
• Document specifications, business rules, acceptance criteria for all configuration and organize & store information for reusability.
• Define, execute, and report against an annual learning roadmap to continue to build in-house Infor and other technology expertise.
• Partner with test teams (onshore, offshore, Verizon and third party) to implement best practices in terms of testing and overall quality assurance.
• Perform peer-to-peer reviews prior to carrying out demos to stakeholders in development environments prior to test execution.
• Recommend, design, achieve buy-in, and implement configuration governance and process standards for environment security, traceability, production environment stability, and uninterrupted Payroll operations.
• Handle system outages and escalations with urgency, notifying Payroll customers, technical teams and others quickly.
• Communicate complex and technical problems and solutions clearly and concisely, adjusting language to facilitate comprehension.Empathizes and acknowledges others to create trust and partnership.
• Proactively manage work completely and independently. Develop SOPs, project plans, task lists, procedures, and configuration documentation necessary for successful deployment with minimal supervision.
Where youll be working In this hybrid role, youll have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days set by your manager.What we re looking for.You ll need to have:
• Bachelor s degree in Technology, Finance, Project Management or four or more years of work experience.
• Four more years of relevant work experience.
• Experience with configuration management of time reporting system, preferably with Workbrain (Infor)
• Knowledge of Payroll processing fundamentals in pay rules and calculation groups.
• Knowledge of in-house Payroll Systems, preferably Infor/Workbrain, PeopleSoft & Workforce Management Solution Software.
• Knowledge of configuration management and orchestration tools like DMU, SQL or similar.
• Technical knwledgeof WFM systems.
• Issue management and workflow experience with Jira, SharePoint, and other.
Even better if you have one or more of the following:
• Six or more years experience working with system configurations.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple completing priorities in fast-paced work environment, establishing collaboration and partnership with stakeholders.
• Knowledgeof complex pay rules, collective bargaining agreement terms, time feeder systems, federal and state pay and absence laws.
• Industry Certifications in project management (MCSE, AGILE, PMI) and Payroll/time reporting systems.
• Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements and identify gaps.
• Configuration management procedure creation and documentation for consistent execution and knowledge transfer.
