Job Description

    Senior Front End DeveloperJob DescriptionWorking Location : Villivakam - ChennaiNotice Period : Immediate to 30 daysExperience : 5+ YearsRole ResponsibilitiesYou will be a hands-on, highly skilled software developer with the experience in both code and mentor other technical team members to deliver high quality, well-designed software.Collaborate with a cross-functional team including developers, testers, design and marketing product management to create new solutions, facilitate feedback and achieve design decisionsDeveloping solutions, youve designed from the ground up through to deployment into production.You will share responsibility for maintaining code quality and standers, include but not limited to code reviews, design reviews, pair programming, technology discussions and continuous improvement.Promoting a culture of continuous learning, experimentation and innovation while contributing to the definition & governance of our standards and best practices.Contribute to major projects as and when required. Project tasks will align closely to the role responsibilities listed in this job description. Project assignment will be for an agreed timeframe, for up to 100% of the role and may require an additional reporting line to the Project Manager. For project assignments of over 50% of the role, or if otherwise agreed, project tasks, assignment timeframe and reporting lines will be clarified in an additional Project Duties Statement.Selection Criteria5+ years in front-end web development (React experience is must).Experience with Agile and Lean software development practices, Continuous Delivery, Continuous Integration, TDD approach, and DevOpsAdvance level in ReactJS, also experience using JavaScript frameworks such as, Angular or VueJS are good to have.Experience in building reusable frontend components and experience with design systems is a plus.Expert knowledge of core technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypescriptAn understanding of CSS techniques (CSS in JS, styled components, CSS modules etc)Experience in Integration with RESTful API & API Contract designExperience with automated testing best practice, automated testing tools and Unit testing libraries (Mocha/Jasmine/Jest)A Bachelors Degree in computer science, or equivalent fieldDesirable:Experience in working in a distributed teamExposure to Bootstrap, jQuery, Kendo UI library or similar JavaScript librariesExperience with build tools (Grunt, Gulp, Webpack, etc.)Good to have, exposure to React-NativeFamiliar with PWA, asset loading/caching, cookies, headers
