Senior Product Manager - TechnicalPosting Location : Location US-RemotePosting date 2 days ago(2/17/2022 7:17 AM)Job ID 91712 Workday ID R-0189216 About the job The Red Hat Cloud Data Services Product Management team is looking for a Senior Product Manager to join us remotely or in one of our European or North American locations. In this role, you will help manage and define our Managed Cloud Data Services portfolio, including Database-as-a-Service (DaaS), Database Access, Data Federation, Memory Cache, and other data services for our managed Red Hat OpenShift platform. This is an excellent opportunity to engage and lead open source communities that support our container initiatives, including Kubernetes and Open Data Hub, and work closely with Red Hats cloud provider partners, including Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft, Google, and IBM. Successful applicants must reside in a state where Red Hat is registered to do business. What you will do
• Define, plan, and deliver on Cloud Data Services offerings
• Prioritize and document requirements, epics, and user stories for releases
• Support sales, field, marketing, site reliability engineering, and customer success engineering teams to ensure product success
• Collect and document input from Red Hat managed platform users, potential customers, community members, and other stakeholders to understand customer data services needs and develop product strategy and roadmap
• Research commercial and do-it-yourself competitive solutions, documenting their relative strengths and weakness to develop competitive positioning and prioritize features to improve our offerings
• Support sales and marketing activities, including creating presentations, blogs, demos, and other technical collateral for our offerings
What you will bring
• 5+ years of enterprise software industry experience in product management, technical marketing, or a customer-facing role
• Experience with data services offerings with Kubernetes
• Experience with AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Heroku, or similar managed cloud platforms
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• Bachelors or graduate degree, preferably in computer science, engineering, or a related discipline
• Willingness to travel up to 25%, following Red Hat s COVID-19 guidelines
• MBA is a plus
Experience with the following will be a plus:
• Databases like MongoDB, Crunchy Data, Couchbase, or public cloud databases
• Data federation, governance, data pipeline, or data virtualization
• Event-driven architectures (Kafka), AI/ML, Edge computing
• Managed services or service provider industries
• Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) offerings
