Job Responsibilities:This position, Software Engineer, will be part of Walmart s DTS Global Operations Centre, focused on building a stable digital platform used across Walmarts global presence. At DTS Global OPS, you will work with small teams of talented engineers to deploy and maintain a wide digital work force through a central control tower and orchestration engine that ensure the following characteristics of a digital worker:Integrity & Consistency Maintain process/data integrity through repeatable solutions that eliminates human error.Reliability & Continuity Provide low risk operations that reliably execute on a defined Candance and can sustain business operations in unplanned crisis. Auditability Simply end to end audit of business processes, and the ability to enhance performance through increased visibility of bottlenecks. Scalability &Flexibility Provide responsive solutions that can be easily customized and quickly scaled, leveraging efficient enterprise-grade cloud capabilities Be given the freedom to try new things and prove the value of your own ideas and innovations and own them all the way to production Identify and facilitate the removal of team impediments and escalate as appropriate Foster a motivating culture of openness, collaboration, and continuous improvement Ensure business needs are being met using software engineering best practices Participate in internal hackathons and innovation challenges!.

• Develop interactive, user-friendly applications using the latest frameworks which are open source and proprietary
• Help the team leverage and contribute to open source technologies
• Contribute to code review and mentoring initiatives
• Design, build, test and deploy cutting edge solutions at scale, impacting millions of customers worldwide.
• Interact with Walmart engineering teams across geographies to leverage expertise and contribute to the tech community. Engage with Product Management and Business to drive the agenda, set your priorities and deliver awesome products.
• Addresses escalation from Support Engineer
• Support Applications in Production
• Application specialist that can resolve more in-depth issues
• Investigate cloud/infrastructure issues and raise with relevant teams for resolution.
• Simple fixes /minor code changes
• Debugging of code and systems errors and triages problems to find solution using the application itself.
• Can confidently solve issues or identify root cause.
• Can escalate to L4 with detail information if coding fix required.
• Escalate to DEV team if fix not identified in X hours for P1 and P2
• Audit fixes done by L1 and L2
• RCA
• DB tuning with approval from L4
• Config file change with approval from L4
• Small Less than 2 hr. code change Approval of L4

Your Qualifications

• Bachelor s degree in computer science or related discipline with 8 + years experience
• Should be knowledgeable in Design Patterns and Algorithms.
• Knowledge on messaging/Alerting platforms
• Knowledge on building cloud native applications.
• He or she should be a fluent in programming languages and should be well-versed in data structures and algorithms, big data Analytics and some experience with common data science tools
• Should be familiar with various design approaches.
• Responsible for defining the feasibility of software operations through problem definition, evaluation, analysis, and solution development.
• Documenting and demonstrating solutions by developing flowcharts, diagrams, documentation, diagrams, layouts, code comments, etc.
