Job Description

ETL Developer with SQL knowledgeMust Have (Required Skills):

  • 2 - 8 years of overall experience in IT or professional services experience in working on Data Engineering projects
  • 2 - 8 years of experience in development of ETL jobs using any of the ETL tool such as Informatica Power Center / IBM Information Server (formally known as DataStage) / Microsoft SSIS / SAP Data Services (formally known as BODS) / Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) / Talend data integration
  • 2 - 8 years of experience in working on any database platforms such as Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, MYSQL, Teradata, Netezza, HIVE, etc.
  • Knowledge of any job scheduling such as CA Workload automation (Autosys), BMC Control-M, UC4
  • Experience in building ETL solution for Data warehousing / Data conversion/ Data integration / Data migration projects
  • Experience in building both Batch / Real-time based ETL jobs for processing structured or semi structured data
  • Should familiar with file system Unix commands
  • Should be able to work in a rapidly changing business environment and adopt to the fast paced environment quickly
  • Should have strong verbal and written communications skills, as well as the ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations
Good to Have (Preferred Skills):
  • Domain knowledge of Retail, CPG, TMT industries
  • Knowledge of any public cloud platform (Azure/AWS/GCP) storage, compute and ETL services
  • Knowledge of Hadoop Bigdata platform, HDFS storage, Hive, Spark
  • Knowledge of Snowflake database platform and architecture
  • Knowledge of reporting & visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Microstrategy, Cognos, Business object, Graphana, Kibana
  • Knowledge of DevOps/CI & CD tools / services
  • Experience in developing SQL stored procedures
  • Experience in programming in Shell scripting / Python / Java / java script / PySpark
  • Experience in working in Agile development methodology
  • Experience in delivering projects in a highly collaborative delivery model with teams at onsite and offshore
Responsibility-
  • Register for Tredence academy Azure / AWS / GCP Data Engineering learning path and complete identified training program in defined schedule
  • Understand client technology landscape, solution architecture, data model, source, targets, Error & Audit framework
  • Understand the data extraction, ingestion, processing and load requirements
  • Building Technical design document and develop Unit test cases
  • Translating requirement into ETL job using cloud native ETL services like Azure Data Factory, AWS Glue and perform Unit testing
  • Peer review of client deliverables (design, code, testing documents)
  • Support Integration, regression and performance testing
  • Support in code management in GIT, help in setting up CICD pipeline and automate testing
  • Develop User guides and runbooks for support engineers
  • Support in building proof of technology for new tech stack and proof of concept for new technical solutions
