Job Description The Software Architect will capture business, operational, technical, and / or non functional requirements from our customers and internal stakeholders and deliver our technology direction with an architecture that meets our customers needs and Nokia direction. Be able to process use case and feature requirements into conceptual models, operational scenarios, technical requirements, and functional descriptions. Must have broad system and product architecture competence and ecosystem understanding relative to telecom providers and modernization of a large platform.The Software Architect is responsible to design the architecture of Nokia products, systems, and services. Designs, defines, and implements software systems requirements from customer requirements or technology objectives. Identifies, analyses, and resolves deficiencies. Develops and recommends corrective actions. Provides strategic vision as well as overall management and ensures performance and quality of own technology area or function. Monitors and guides professional developments and the strategy for a business-relevant organisational unit. To act as a technical advisor towards internal and external stakeholders through technical cooperation and knowledge transfers.Design and implement modern software programming models, runtime environments and software systems on cloud platforms. Write reports and research publications. Drive results of the research projects into intellectual property and product roadmaps. Develop high-quality theoretical and experimental work. Create & maintain strong collaborations with other Nokia teams within Integrated ProductsExpectations Motivated to seek and overcome technology challenges. Ability to define and build innovative solutions to complex technical and business-relevant problems. Execution in realization of platform solution. Strong ownership of own work with effective collaboration as part of a multi-disciplinary, multi-site team. Continuous learning, mastering and creation of new leading-edge technologies.Qualifications Experience in embedded software development and software-as-a-service application built on a modern platform with state of the art open-source technologies. Strong understanding of programming in Linux or Windows Operating systems, kernels, device drivers and real-time operating systems (RTOS) Software expert with experience Java and Device protocol specifications Prior experience in Device Management space Experience working architecting large scale, multi-threaded, distributed applications, and fast prototyping. Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies and hands-on knowledge with one or more of the following: Google Anthos, Azure, AWS, or other Hybrid Cloud technologies. Experience and understanding of building Ai/ML model is a plus. Understanding of open source platform services leveraging Kubernetes, MariaDB, Cassandra, Hadoop, NGINX, Jenkins, OpenAPI/Swagger, Prometheus, etc Basic understanding of device management, wireline, wireless communications theory. Familiarity with OMADM and OMACP Experience with experimental lab setups & high-end test equipment. Strong & open mindset with drive for success. Readiness to be challenged outside your comfort zone to achieve top results. Fluency in English and a natural communication in a multi-disciplinary team.
