Senior User Experience Designer, Advanced Cluster SecurityPosting Location : Location Remote US CAPosting date 3 hours ago(6/28/2021 8:11 AM)Job ID 87515 Job summary The Red Hat Cloud Platforms Business team is looking for a Senior User Experience Designer to join our growing team focused on Advanced Cluster Security for Kubernetes. In this role, you will work with our product management and engineering teams to create and deliver new interfaces, workflows, and design systems for the industry s leading Kubernetes-native security solution. You will actively contribute to the end-to-end user experience from onboarding to usage, interaction design, user research, and information architecture. You will fit right in if you enjoy solving challenging technical problems at the intersection of design and usability. As a Senior User Experience Designer, you will engage with relevant stakeholders and the design community across Red Hat. This is a great opportunity to work on a fast-growing product alongside some of the brightest minds in the cloud-native ecosystem. Successful applicants must reside in a state where Red Hat is registered to do business. Primary job responsibilities

  • Create mockups, wireframes, high-fidelity prototypes, and other design deliverables across the entire user experience, with a focus on particular use cases
  • Work with a team of product managers, engineers, and researchers to develop and deliver new user experiences and workflows
  • Perform and participate in planning user research to inform or validate design decisions
  • Contribute to the information architecture that impacts the overall user experience
  • Develop user stories, story maps, and site maps
  • Identify opportunities for usability improvement, conduct testing, and make recommendations
  • Actively use and contribute to PatternFly, Red Hat s community-built design system
  • Mentor and provide feedback to fellow designers
Required skills
  • 3+ years of experience with designing user experiences for software applications
  • Demonstrated track record of creating new designs, interactions, and workflows
  • Ability to incorporate data from user research and usability testing to inform key design decisions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and collaboration skills on cross-functional teams
  • High attention to detail and solid ability to manage multiple, competing priorities
  • Bachelors or graduate degree, preferably in interaction design, visual design, human computer interaction, computer science, or a related discipline
The following are considered a plus:
  • Experience with modern design tooling and systems (e.g., InVision, Framer, Sketch, etc.)
  • Familiarity with front-end software development
