Job Description

    DescriptionGrowth Machine is expanding quickly, and we need your help to continue being the best SEO and content marketing agency on the Internet.We re hiring a part-time SEO project assistant to support the project management team. Youll work closely with our Senior Project Manager to ensure that our clients are getting the white glove service we pride ourselves on, and that were delivering premium content that earns our clients the top spots in Google for the search terms relevant to their business.Youll be responsible for ensuring clients sites are set up optimally for SEO success, that theyre receiving accurate and timely data about their site performance, and that any miscellaneous requests are taken care of in a timely manner.This is the perfect role for someone who is just starting their career or ready to dip their toes back into the workforce, and is excited to learn more about project management, client communications, account management, SEO, and campaign planning within an agency environment, while helping a dynamic internet-based company grow quickly.Your ResponsibilitiesThe Project Assistants job is to support the PM team in making sure that everything is running smoothly, seamlessly, and on schedule at all times. Heres what youd be responsible for, to start:
    • Website Updates: Making the necessary updates to certain components of the website, like text and image descriptions, which will position the clients website to perform optimally in search results. (Please note: you do not need any coding or computer programming knowledge to do this!)
    • New Client Setup: Establishing the Google Analytics account is set up properly, setting up a dashboard (from a template) in Google Data Studio, and creating new files and Asana boards to ensure the client project is organized and ready to get started.
    • Dashboard Maintenance: Making sure client reporting dashboards remain accurate, connected to Google Analytics, and generally in good working order; making adjustments as requested by project managers and clients.
    • Sales Support: Helping to manage and organize the sales database, vet clients, and respond to inquiries from prospective clients on an as-needed basis.
    • Miscellaneous Admin Support: Pitching in as needed to help our project managers, Director of Sales, and SEO with miscellaneous administrative tasks as they come up, and as you have time. There is also room to grow this into a broader support position, if desired.

    • Youre a critical thinker and a strong, creative problem-solver.
    • You have a basic familiarity with Wordpress and Google Analytics. Were not looking for experts, but you should know what youre looking at when you open both applications.
    • Youre detail-oriented, organized, and efficient, and youre not intimidated by juggling a lot of different projects and responsibilities at once.
    • Its a bonus, but not a requirement, if you have a basic understanding of SEO and/or blogging.
    • Youre capable of working autonomously. Youre happy with the freedom and you don t need or want to be managed.
    • Youre friendly, eager to jump in and make the job your own, and love to contribute to tangible business growth and success.
