Job Summary
Trimble in Chennai is seeking a Software Engineer for its Cloud Platform Engineering Team to build and run large-scale, distributed, fault-tolerant Cloud services. This Team in Chennai for Trimble Cloud platform will strive to make the APIs secure, highly available, reliable and performant to our users
Key Responsibilities
Performs software engineering within the process framework established by the Team. This framework will describe how requirements are developed and analyzed, how changes are made to requirements, how engineering work will be planned and tracked, how testing will be performed, and the criteria by which the performance of the project will be measured.
Implements and tests those designs to meet established requirements
Participates in technical/design discussions as required
As necessary, works independently or with quality assurance personnel to plan and execute product testing
Other duties as required and requested by management
Skill Sets:
2-3 years of experience in software product development .
Hands-on experience designing and developing Service Oriented Architecture applications and RESTful
2+ years overall programming experience required in Java and or Python, preferably in building commercial web applications / distributed systems, SaaS Apps. (Preferably Python)
Proficiency in Python:
Solid hands-on programming experience in Python.
Object Oriented Programming in Python.
Object Relational Mappers in Python.
Good exposure in TDD (in Python).
Experience in building lambda functions with Python
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of RESTful interfaces / Microservice concepts
Good exposure working on AWS or Azure cloud platforms .
Experience with RDBMS and No SQL databases.
Good working knowledge on Linux
