In this position you will provide both strategic and tactical oversight to build the features and functionality required to have a best in class offering to our branded gift card customers.As Manager of Software Development for the Digital and Emerging Payments team, you will be responsible for leading a team in design, development, test and deployment of the payment experiences for branded gift cards across various business lines. A successful candidate will have an established background in developing customer facing experience, a strong technical ability, excellent project management skills, great communication skills, a proven ability to grow and develop a team and a motivation to achieve results in a fast paced environment.The ideal candidate is passionate about simple and elegant software solutions, customer-centric products and agile development processes.Key Responsibilities: Own the roadmap of the services that enable faster delivery of payment experience to our customers Document and present strategies to senior management. Management and execution against project plans and delivery commitments. Management of departmental resources, hiring, mentoring, enhancing and maintaining a best-of-class product development team. Work closely with the engineers and product managers to architect and develop the best technical design and approach. Report on status of development, quality, operations and system performance to leadership.The ideal candidate will be a leader, quick learner and be able to work independently. He/she should be able to operate in a very fast paced environment where time to hit market is super critical. The candidate will need to balance technical leadership and savvy with strong business judgment to make the right decisions., 7+ years of relevant engineering experience 3+ years of people management experience, managing engineers Experience in partnering with product and program management teams Masters degree in Engineering or other discipline 3+ years in managing software engineering teams
