As an application moves through the deployment pipeline from dev to test and into production, the platform provides a central place to manage the configuration between those environments and be certain that applications have everything they need to run. This platform allows for thousands of configurations per day to be changed dynamically at runtime, enabling workflows that unlock productivity for employees & enterprise alike. You will work on building & managing products from the ground up to provide developers at PayPal a swift, reliable, and innovative way to change and manage their configurations.Responsibilities

• Develop, grow, and be part of our high-performing software engineering organization, and be a hands-on technology expert.
• Analyze, Engineer and improve stability, efficiency, and scalability of the Configuration platform
• Work closely with Architects, lead engineers and business on product design and features.
• Ensure appropriate design, implementation, testing, delivery, and support of our systems.
• Drive a culture of obsession around customer focus and delivering a customer experience.
• Be an evangelist and driver for technology innovations.
• Adhere to best of class coding and design standards.
• Communicate clearly with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels.
• Ability to work in a team as well as independently and deliver on aggressive goals individually as well as a team.

Job Qualifications and Requirements:

• 2+ years of Java back end development experience including familiarity with Java 8 features
• 1+ years of experience designing, developing, and testing RESTful APIs
• Experience with common Java APIs and frameworks including JAX-RS, Hibernate, JPA and JMS is preferred
• 1+ years of experience with Spring Boot and Spring Framework
• Experience working with relational database systems like Oracle, PostgreSQL or MySQL is preferable
• Experience in at least one dynamic language such as Perl, Python or Ruby is highly desirable
• Experience with test frameworks such as TestNG, Mockito, WireMock
• Experience with Maven or other build tools is a bonus
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Motivated and interested in delivering results, especially in the area of writing high-performance, reliable and maintainable code.
• Ability to adapt to new development environments, changing business requirements and learning new systems highly desired.
• Good team player, able to effectively work across multiple teams on solutions that have complex dependencies and requirements in a fast-paced environment
