OverviewThe Ingersoll Rand Sourcing Team Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the sourcing process, including vendor selection, negotiation, and relationship management. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the timely and cost-effective procurement of goods and services to meet the companys needs. The role is key to leading the. Company forward in securing quality suppliers of materials and components covering price, delivery and quality targets.Responsibilities Lead and manage a team of sourcing professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and performance feedback. Develop and implement sourcing strategies to meet the companys procurement objectives and cost-saving targets. Identify and evaluate potential vendors and suppliers, assessing their capabilities, pricing, and quality standards. Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing agreements with vendors to ensure favorable terms for the company. Monitor market trends and industry developments to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements. Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including operations, finance, and legal teams, to align sourcing activities with business goals and requirements. Establish and maintain strong relationships with key vendors and suppliers, fostering partnerships built on trust and mutual benefit. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements throughout the sourcing process. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the sourcing function. Prepare and present reports, performance metrics, and recommendations to senior management.Knowledge, Skills And Abilities Bachelors degree in business administration, supply chain management, or related field. Advanced degree or professional certifications (e.g., CSCP, CPSM) preferred. Proven experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management, with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership role. Strong understanding of sourcing strategies, procurement processes, and vendor management principles. Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels. Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions. Demonstrated leadership abilities, including the ability to motivate and inspire a team to achieve common goals. Results-oriented with a focus on delivering measurable business outcomes and driving continuous improvement. Proficiency in using sourcing tools, ERP systems, and MS Office applications. Knowledge of local and international sourcing markets, regulations, and best practices. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.Location: Bangalore, Chennai or Coimbatore.Percentage of Travel: 60%Min. Yrs.
