Job Description

    To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, were looking to add a Specialist Indirect Procurement Sourcing located in ChennaiReporting to the Manager Indirect Commodity Sourcing Manager, the Specialist role involves sourcing the appropriate vendors with competitive pricing applying the best negotiation tactics. Additionally, should have excellent stake holders service skills and works well in a team to consistently meet challenging performance targets.What a typical day looks like:Responsible to efficiently and accurately execute core procurement processes for assigned products.To identify and source potential vendors for MRO commodity at best negotiated rates.Should develop and managing PSL suppliers for potential vendor-base.Will be working on various Cost reduction strategies for the assigned projects.Responsible to meet or exceed desired service levels and inventory targets as defined for the products assigned, validated through procurement metrics.Should coordinate and collaborate with Internal Business Partner and Suppliers.Responsible for selecting supplier for placing new orders in accordance with approved Purchasing strategies.To identify, recommend, and implement operational efficiencies to drive continuous improvement in the execution of procurement processes.Prepare Customized reports for analyzing and incorporating improvements in processes.Own Buddy system when any new person joins in the team, provide all required training support to make him/her successful in Job.Conduct training program for new joinees and help new Buyers in resolving any open issues.Responsible for Completing detailed process documentation and getting the documentation approved by internal stake holder, document should be validated once in 6 months and capture changes if any in the process.Ensure Teams are fully 5S compliant.Will be first level escalation contact to resolve escalations for Buyer.Ability to understand purchasing and procurement methods and procedures.Provide reports, information, analysis etc., as required, in a timely, professional mannerKnowledge of P2P tools - end user functionality.The experience were looking to add to our team:Should be Engineering Graduates in any stream.Possess 3-5 yrs of relevant expereicne in Indirect Procurement / Sourcing.Experience in handling MRO commodity sourcing in manufacturing sector.Should have experience in ERP/P2P systems BAAN / SAP/ OracleMandatory Knowledge of computer software applications, MS Excel, Word & PowerPoint (PF).Highly effective communication skills with stakeholders and inter-personal skills.Excellent follow up skills.Knowledge of MS office and MS outlook.Good Analytical skills.Should be able to manage level 2 escalations.,
