*Responsible for doing Reference Calculations for aggregates like Axle, Engine & Fasteners for truck and busesProviding estimation to projects teams / finance controller for business case evaluation during the initial phase of project. Responsible for delivering on time support to Procurement with Reference Calculation Support Procurement in order to enable successful negotiation with the suppliers for Part and Tooling.Analyzing and reporting the exact cost gap between the REC and Supplier quote during the time of new part awarding.Estimation, Validation and negotiation of supplier development and testing cost.Responsible for Shared Service support like costing, benchmarking to Daimler Group companies globally.Responsible for evaluating the cost impact for Change Management ProcessValidating supplier RM and Process increase claim and support procurement to negotiate by providing measuresInvolvement in supplier evaluation and selection processParticipation and generation of ideas during VAVE workshops.Responsible for Benchmarking Activity and competitor analysis for cost reduction activity.Responsible for monitoring and driving the Cost Reduction ideas within team until implementation.Supporting R&D team for design to target by analyzing the 3D/2D model and suggesting the right modelling during the initial design phase.Responsible for market research and RM movement tracking monthly. CFT member for RM / process actualization at supplier end.Monitor and update calculation input factors like RM rates, MHR rates every year for the respective aggregate and commodity in calculation data baseActive participation and representing cost engineering various CFT, *Qualification :B.E / B Tech (Mechanical/Automobile/Production) Experience : Maximum 11 years of automotive experience (OEM or tier 1) with min 6 years of experience in following job profiles 1.Cost engineering 2.Sourcing with estimation knowledge 3.New product development with process knowledgeEssential Knowledge:Hands on experience in Zero based costing of any below Engine & Axles parts:1.Front & Rear axle child parts & assembly (Gears, Beam, Knuckle, Shaft, Propeller shaft)2.Forging (Fasteners, Brackets, Levers)3.Precision machining (HMC, VMC, CNC, VTL)4.Stamping basic knowledgeShould have experience in cost estimation of Front & Rear axle, Forging, Precision machining. Very much updated market knowledge on RM rates, grades and suppliers.Good knowledge of in-house / supplier assembly process, MHR, cycle time estimation and testing requirements.Proving the cycle time @ Supplier end if required.Should have a knowledge in Tool / Fixture cost estimation.Should be cost conscious and have the drive for VAVE ideas generation.Essential Skills:Good Negotiation & Convincing skillsExcellent Interpersonal and presentation skillsShould have good communication skills (oral & written).Teamwork, flexibility & willing to work in challenging environment.Desirable:Experience in strategic sourcing/ vendor development/ Pricing panel is added advantage Experience in organizations like Axle India, Meritor, DANA, AAM, AVTEC etc.
