Job Description

    GSD (Global Services Delivery) is a global delivery organization responsible for delivering BMC solutions to our customer worldwide. It provides unique opportunity to meet customers and solve their business problem by consultative approach. This group is responsible for managing latest BMC technologies and making sure customers get the maximum value from their investment. AMS Consultant - The Application Managed Services Consultant will provide consultative operational services including technical post-implementation/go-live services for enterprise software solutions throughout for BMC s worldwide customers. The Consultant must be able to multitask in a fast-paced environment since they will be working on incidents, problems, releases, patching, upgrades, integrations simultaneously.Key Responsibilities/Duties
    • Responsible for leading and/or participating in teams comprised of BMC, partner and customer resources at client sites to deliver required outcomes and produce additional business with BMC clients.
    • Provide L2/L3 operational support on Control-M as per agreed SLAs
    • Implement, customize, and configure BMC products.
    • Maintain Control-M Application platform availability as per agreed availability commitment
    • Integrate BMC products to each other and third-party applications.
    • Troubleshoot Control-M application, customizations, integration issues.
    • Follow the ITIL standard best processes.
    • Recommend & plan upgrades/patches and roll out of new features
    • Understands how to apply technology to improve the operational effectiveness or efficiency of specific functions or applications.
    • Assist customer drive adoption of the monitoring solution across the environments
    • Work closely with Service Owners to review service delivery quality with focus on continuous improvement

    • Strong analytical skills with a methodical approach to fault resolution
    • Experience on Windows/UNIX/LINUX operating systems and ITIL framework is an advantage.
    • Good knowledge of Cloud Technologies, networking, and database concepts
    • Well Organized with a positive attitude, ability to work in customer facing env & should be able to communicate with Customers, Vendors, and other internal groups as required.
    • Exercises independent judgment within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
    • Effective communication skills in English (verbal and written).
    • Willing to work in shifts, weekend and on-call support will be required.
    Skills/Experience: Control-M
    • Experience with Control-M Job Scheduling (Calendars, Cyclic Jobs)
    • Experience with working in planning Domain, Forecast, History, BIM, Self Service, WCM
    • Experience in Control-M Administration, High Availability, Failover/Failback, DR, Control-M modules
    • Proficient in working with Control-M Utilities
    • Integrating Control-M with third party applications and scripts
    • Scripting knowledge (any of Shell/PowerShell/Perl/Python) is highly desirable
    • Experience of working on various Operating Systems and Databases
    • Should have worked in Applications Managed Services and Consulting Services environment
    • Application Support, Administration, Integrations and, Customizations
