Job Description

Come and join us at Vestas!Global Manufacturing -> Engineering & Business Service Center -> SCM EBSC SCM is a department under Engineering & Business service center, supporting Direct material Buying, Production Planning, and CAPEX buying & Logistics coordination for all Vestas Factories across the globe. This is a centralized offshoring team based in Chennai.Responsibilities
    • Service delivery in the agreed scope of Buying and Planning activities for SCM
    • Ensuring that daily work of the team is delivered as per the agreed SLAs/KPIs defined for Buying and Planning activities
    • Adherence of the processes as per the SOW agreed with respective Factories and stakeholders
    • Follow and ensure compliance with internal and external regulations while implementing the process
    • Accountable for ensuring the right process training for the team
    • Key contact for factories /regions to ensure communication flow related to buying and planning
    • Partnering with regions on operational activities to optimize E2E flow and ensure business continuity, representing SCM
    • Translate and support regional logistics operations strategy into daily operations
    • Building an efficient and credible relationship with the Factory and Regional Logistics through working collaboratively
    • Escalation point for key service outcomes and issue resolution
    • A self-directed and innovative approach to undertaking problems, leveraging resources, and cross-organizational coordination and collaboration
    • Innovating, developing, and coaching a team of Buyers / Planners
    • Creating and maintaining an effective backup structure within the team and working closely with the team to seek and nominate a successor
    • Optimize team performance through implementation of the training plans
    • Handle all aspects of the CPD / People review process in coordination with the management team
    • Identify, develop and implement continuous improvements and bring in best practices across teams
    • Participate in special projects to coordinate efficiency and control within EBSC
    Qualifications
    • Graduation in any discipline or masters degree in business administration
    • Minimum 10 to 15 years of relevant experience in SCM or Procurement processes involving SCM
    • Knowledge of Supply Chain, Operations, and Analytics

    • Knowledge in Direct Procurement using SAP ERP Intermediate or Expertise
