Technical writers at ACH project is responsible for creating and maintaining user assistance deliverables that help FIS clients understand and make effective use of FIS products. Deliverables can include but are not limited to online help systems; traditional end-user manuals; administration guides; installation guides; client communications (release notes and enhancement or maintenance bulletins). Requires effective planning, researching, implementation, and communication (written and verbal) skills in a fast-paced development environment.What you bring:

• 3 - 5 yrs. experience with Strong understanding of role of Technical Writer. Proven working experience in technical writing of software documentation.
• Experience with the concepts and practice of API required documentation is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Style of Technical Publication (MSTP).
• Work with internal teams to obtain an in-depth understanding of the product and the documentation requirements
• Knowledge of Document Development Life Cycle (DDLC) and its relationship with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Solid logic with regard to organizing information effectively.
• Proficiency with documentation development tools and technology, including Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams, SnagIt, Paint, and SharePoint.
• Experienced in topic-based authoring. (Authoring in DITA is a plus.)
• Must have experience in creating different types of manuals i.e., User Manual, Installation Guide, Administrator s Guide, etc., and well-versed with their technicalities.
• Produce a high-quality documentation by incorporating changes in the current manuals or by creating manuals from scratch.
• Strong writing and effective communication skills.
• Must have experience in interviewing subject matter experts (SMEs) and other stakeholder to get an insight of the product.
• Simplify the information with the usage of screen captures, illustrations, tables, and so on.
• Must have experience in creating release notes at the end of a cycle to highlight the features in an informative manner.
• Must have strong knowledge of Microsoft Office.

What you will be doing:

• Work with internal teams to obtain an in-depth understanding of the product and the documentation requirements.
• Produce high-quality documentation that meets applicable standards and is appropriate for its intended audience.
• Write easy-to-understand user interface text, online help and developer guides.
• Create tutorials to help end-users use a variety of applications.
• Analyze existing and potential content, focusing on reuse and single-sourcing opportunities.
• Create and maintain the information architecture.
