Nokia s Network Infrastructure group is at the heart of a revolution to bring more and faster network capacity to people worldwide through our ambition, innovation, and technical expertise.You will be part of Broadband Networks BU inside the Fixed Networks Division focusing on product and application software validations in the area of Software Defined Access NetworksWhat you will learn and contribute to The advertised position corresponds to Individual technical contributor in Broadband Access domain focusing in the area of Shelf infrastructure component interfaces and software managementAre you passionate about solving problems As part of our team, you will actively contribute to:
• Requirement analysis, Test strategy and validation of BBF/IETF/IEEE standard features and customer features for wide range of DSL and xPON access products and solutions
• Test preparation, peer reviews, release validation cycles and test automation
• Functional , Non-functional regression and performance benchmarking
• Fault management - Problem solving, Bug verification and maintenance
• Test reporting, defect prevention, root cause and escaped defect analysis
• Internal process and technical improvements, besides a host of continuous learning, collaboration and performance initiatives in a dynamic team environment
Your skills and experience Ideal candidate should possess the following skills:
• Bachelors or Masters degree in engineering in Electronics/Communication/Computer Science or Masters in Computer Applications
• Strong product validation (manual and automated tesing) and problem solving hands-on experience with chassis based systems in Linux environment
• Good understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies
• Excellent debugging skills eg. GDB
• Product automation - Python and shell scripting
• Effective team player and good interpersonal skills
It would be nice if you also had:
• Knowledge of Network Management protocols eg. Netconf and Yang models
• IEEE 802.x Ethernet protocols including Autoneg, MAU, transceivers
