Job Description

    The pandemic has highlighted how important telecoms networks are to society. Nokia s Network Infrastructure group is at the heart of a revolution to bring more and faster network capacity to people worldwide through our ambition, innovation, and technical expertise.You will be part of Broadband Networks business unit inside the Fixed Networks Division, focussing on product and application software development in the area of Software Defined Access NetworksWhat you will learn and contribute to This open position corresponds to Individual Technical contributor in Broadband access domain focusing in the area of shelf infrastructure components and software management. Are you passionate about solving problems As part of our team, you will be involved in:
    • Requirement analysis, SW design and Implementation of BBF/IETF standard features and customer requirements for wide range of DSL and xPON access products and solutions
    • Coding, peer reviews and validation cycles
    • Problem solving, bug fixing and maintenance
    • Internal process and technical improvements, defect prevention and a host of continuous learnng, collaboration and performance initiatives
    Your skills and experience Ideal candidat e should possess the following skills :
    • Bachelors or Master engineering degree in Electronics/Communication/Computer science or Masters in computer applications or equivalent
    • Strong programming skills and hands-on experience: C, C++, shell scripting in Linux environment
    • Good understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies
    • Excellent debugging skills eg. GDB
    • Effective team player and good interpersonal skills
    It would be nice if you also had:
    • Knowledge of network management protocols eg. Netconf and Yang models
    • Chassis based product development eg. Equipment & Software mgmt
    • IEEE 802.x Ethernet protocols including Autoneg, MAU, transceivers
