Industrial Quality LeaderAbout Alstom in IndiaAlstom has established a strong presence in India. Currently, the company is executing metro projects in several Indian cities including Chennai, Kochi and Lucknow where it is supplying Rolling Stock manufactured out its state of the art facility at SriCity in Andhra Pradesh. In the Mainline space, Alstom is executing Signaling & Power Supply Systems for the 343 Km. section on World Bank funded Eastern Dedicated Freight Corridor. Phase 1 in the construction of the new electric locomotive factory for manufacturing and supply of 800 units of 12000HP locomotives is also complete at Madhepura, Bihar while the depot at Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh is ready to commence operation. Alstom has set up an Engineering Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru, and this coupled with a strong manufacturing base as well as localized supply chains, is uniquely positioned to serve customers across the globe. Today, Alstom in India employs close to 3600 people and in line with Government of India s Make in India policy initiative, Alstom has been investing heavily in the country in producing world class rolling stock, components, design, research and development to not only serve the domestic market, but also rest of the world.www.alstom.com/ India Industrial Quality Leader (QC-IQ-01)Purpose of the job : Design and deploy Quality Control Plan per manufacturing process to support an external demerit at 0 for Alstom Customer and the Zero Defect Program.Organization : Organization structure (job belongs to.) RSC / ADM / SERVICE Industrial Quality.Reports directly to : Industrial Quality managerNetwork & Links :

• Internal : EPU, PME, SC, Quality organization, PrXM
• External : Customers representative, Suppliers & sub-contractors

Main Responsibilities :Accountability & Authorities :

• Process profile Process Industrial Quality Leader (Bachelor s degree in engineering)
  • Manage Industrial Quality activities in relevant workshop (IQ team + process + KPI).
  • Stop the production in case of a defect which justifies mandatory rework.
  • Participate or delegate customer joint Inspections.
  • Participate to process FMEA definition.
  • Build, implement & regularly update Quality Control Plans with REX of previous project execution.
  • Ensure customer approval, documents validation & compliance of the manufactured products before shipping.
  • Perform Line Quality Animation with cross function team.
• Technician profile
  • Perform, participate to inspections of products (Customer joint inspections included if applicable).
  • Manage problem solving.
  • Records inspection results in the industrial tools as required & performed follow-up.
  • Perform first characterization & manage NCR s for non-compliant products for internal responsibility.
  • Have ability to accepts or reject products as defined in the working instructions / Expert support.
  • Support manufacturing teams regarding the self-inspection, delegation of control (Training, audit, ) & Position Quality Animation with EPU manager.

Performance measurements

• Defects per Unit reduction (10 % per year).
• External demerit objective.
• CONQ objective (for CONQ S1.1 & S1.3).
• APSYS score for Industrial scope.

Main Required Competencies :Educational Requirements :

• Bachelor degree in engineering (electronics, electrical ) or equivalent
• Experience in managing Quality tools and problem-solving tools.

Experience:

• Processes knowledge on Quality and at industrial level.
• Management experience.
• 10 - 12 years experiences in Industrial.
• Project management or equivalent.

Competencies & Skills

• Technical mastering of railway products.
• International mindset & fluent in English.
• Ability to work in a matrix organization.
