Job Description

    About IDDSInfectious Disease Detection and Surveillance (IDDS) is a five-year United States Agency for International Development (USAID)-funded project with the following overall objectives: (1) Improve the detection of diseases of public health importance and identification of antimicrobial resistance (AMR) in priority infectious diseases including Tuberculosis (TB) through an accessible, accurate, adaptable, timely, and integrated diagnostic network system; (2)Improve the quality of real-time surveillance systems for pathogens of greatest public health concern, including AMR and zoonotic diseases, and; (3) Generate evidence-based guidance and innovative solutions to strengthen in-country diagnostic networks and surveillance systems.Position and expectationICF is seeking a TB Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Specialist to implement project monitoring, evaluation, and learning activities for IDDS India activities. He or she will support the development of monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) plans for project related activities (public, private and research); support India team in the collection, validation, analysis and meaningful presentation of project M&E data; and help design and coordinate learning agenda and operational research activities related to strengthening TB diagnostic capacity. The position will involve travel to project activity locations in the country as per the requirement. This position reports to the Team Lead in India and works closely with both the M&E team in HQ and the TB technical teams.

    Technical Responsibilities:
    • Support the development of MEL plans for project related activities (public, private and research) and target setting
    • Coordinate the quarterly and annual reporting of TB M&E data across IDDS India activities
    • Provide support to field staff to collect and analyze TB M&E data
    • Perform data validation and quality checks
    • Participate in monthly review meetings and support technical managers in presenting the data to depict the impact of project interventions
    • Work in coordination with IQVIA and support data analysis for midcourse/final review and cost assessment analysis
    • Create solutions for improved data visualization
    • Support data management including updating and maintaining databases
    • Review data sources and support the determination of best options for data integrity
    • Conduct literature reviews, assist in developing data collection tools, analyze data, and other tasks in support of learning and operational research activities
    • Support the documentation and presentation of project achievements, learning, and research results
    • Help draft monthly, quarterly and annual reports
    Required Qualifications:
    • Minimum Master s degree or higher in public health, international development, or related field
    • At least 8 years of experience in implementing monitoring, evaluation, and learning for public health programs in India
    • 3+ years working in M&E of TB programs, preferably TB diagnostic network experience /USAID-supported projects
    • Strong analytical skills and the ability to use data for decision making
    • 3 + years of experience with MS Office Applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel)
    • Strong writing and verbal communication in English
