Job Description

    GamesHorizon is a news and media website that covers video games for PCs and consoles. We are looking to hire a Content Strategist who comes with the right mix of experience, expertise and proven success. The individual will play a critical role in the overall strategy and direction for the organization; and will have a high degree of flexibility and freedom.The main focus of the Content Strategist will be content planning and research; and will require a high degree of proficiency on SEO; as well as a deep understanding of the end reader segment in these case gamers. It is highly preferable that the individual possesses an interest or passion in video games and the gaming industryKey Responsibilities:Working with the editorial team to produce contentResearching and staying up to date on the latest developments in terms of search engine optimization, content trends and consumer behaviorWork with the Managing Editor to prepare an editorial calendar; and with the Social Media. Manager for a content calendar on social mediaDisplay a high degree of flexibility to accommodate trends into the planned editorial calendarEnsure high degree of adherence to an overall content plan to start ranking across identified keywords on search enginesEnsuring consistency across all content from websites to social media channelsOverseeing the development and launch of new content categories and channelsPerforming exhaustive research to gain in-depth knowledge of all customer personas and stay on top of trendsEnsuring that content strategy meets business objectivesQualifications & Key Skill Requirements:Bachelors degree in Marketing, Journalism, Communications, or a related field3 years of experience in content strategy in an online publishing website / blogHigh degree of proficiency in SEO and keyword research toolsContent monetization skills as a content strategist, you must be able to plan how your content can increase organic traffic and build a loyal and returning reader baseGood analytical abilities to spot patterns and trends in content marketing dataHaving a keen interest in organizational goals and targetsProven work experience as a Content Strategist for an online publishing website / blogHigh degree of preference for someone with a passion for video games or experience in this industryThe position is a full-time, remote based opportunity,
