Primary Purposeo Responsible for mechanical activities to maintain and or repair Drill Rigs. Implementation of the Plano Carries out actual maintenance and repairs of Drill Rigs in an efficient and effective way in order tominimise downtime.o Conducts preventative maintenance on the Drill Rigs by checking engines; motors; pneumatics;hydraulic systems by following diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, manufacturers instructionsand engineering specifications. Troubleshooting malfunctions.o Carries out Fault finding by using precision measuring and testing instruments.o Removes defective parts by using hoists, cranes and hand and power tools. Examines form andtexture of parts to determine causes of failure.o Determines changes in dimensional requirements of parts by using rulers; callipers; micrometres; andother measuring instruments.o Understands and is familiar with basic hydraulic systems.
